I am extremely excited and just LOVE my house. The garage door is on and looks a little funny at this stage because the render isn't finished. Once that is complete it will look really good (it is the darker timber look). Now, I can't wait to see the house with the carpets in. I hoping they aren't too dark. I have ordered the blinds for the guest/grandparents room. The blinds for bedroom 3 & 4, the ensuite and the bath should be ready in May. We purchased our new office furniture and all of our other furniture will match perfectly. I am going on Saturday to find some really retro/funky wall paper for the hallway/entrance and will scout around for a cool mirror. My Mum paints and has been painting canvas' like crazy so we have some really cool pieces for the walls. I can't believe that we are at this point. I am so excited that I can't stop planning! My hubby has the backyard designed and is ready to get the shovel out. Our daughter is planning on asking Santa or the Easter Bunny for a trampoline and swingset. We will take some more photos and I will upload them after the appointment. Inanswer to the questions about SS and CLE: I don't really want to post peoples names on the internet as I don't think that is fair or right. All I will say is that the SS that has been with us through the most part of the build was fantastic. The newest SS has also been really good. On the service, I can't complain or fault Carlisle. from conversations I have overheard, my hubby, also feels the same and he is pretty fussy. Re: OurPagoda32 45Apr 17, 2009 10:20 am Message Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been so busy lately, it is just crazy. We had our preliminary walk through last week and all seemed pretty good. There were a couple of little things to be fixed. My hubby went throug last night with a friend who is a builder and an electrician. They noticed a couple of other minor things to recitfy and we emailed those off last night. We are supposed to have handover on the 24th but given that we had Easter I think it will get pushed back by a week. That is OK with me as we have our rental until the 11th of May. I have booked the concreter to do the driveway so I may need to change that. Now I have to remember how to do the photo thing.. Where is your build up to and do you have any pics yet? I LOVE the pagoda floorplan, it was the only plan that I saw and didn't want to make changes to. The only thing I would do differently if I did it again would be: Add glass doors to the hall that separates the living, kitchen are to allow that area to be closed off in summer (we are going to put a split system in), I think it would save on electricity bills and block noise to the bedrooms of you were entertaining. Make bed 3 a kids retreat. Add big double sliding doors to the lounge so it could double as a guest bedroom/study/reading room. That way you don't lose the 4th bedroom. Otherwise it is great as is Re: OurPagoda32 46Apr 17, 2009 10:40 am I can't add the photos I have as the megapixels are too high! Bummer..
