Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 05, 2018 9:01 pm Yay! I have purchased land in Hamlyn Terrace and have my HIA, the only changes not included on the plan are double doors to the main bedroom and freestanding bath in bathroom. I did most of my upgrades at tender but am a little nervous moving forward with my colour and clipsal appointment after reading all your threads! I went a little overboard and extended the alfresco and completely tiled the whole house, including bedrooms. I have chosen my tiles 600x600 which arent included in the silver range, does anyone know how much of an additional cost this could be roughly? Also, I would like to render the front in two toned colours, has anyone done this, if you have photos I would love to see! If anyone has any advice for my upcoming colour, tiles or electrical appointments, please feel free to share. Re: Coral Homes Grange 26 Modified - Mornington Facade - Ham 4Mar 21, 2018 7:54 pm Hi all, New to the thread. Are you guys in Rise Estate Hamlyn Terrace? Me and my partner are building the Capri 25 from Coral. Up to Colour and electrical on Friday. Cheers Re: Coral Homes Grange 26 Modified - Mornington Facade - Ham 5Mar 21, 2018 8:24 pm I went to tile appointment and was super disappointed. The tiles I wanted were an additional 10k to do 190m2 so unfortunately had to give them a miss. I will post some photos of my tiles. I have colour appointment next Tuesday. Feel free to share all your photos also ☺️☺️ I am in the Rise Estate - hello neighbour ! Hi Chrystal, We were ok with the tiles, went very practical as hopefully there will be little ones running round in the not too distant future. Electrical appointment with Clipsal was easy as. Colour appointment was really good with Lucy Upton and we're super excited to see the colours in real life (from what I've heard from other builders - Montgomery, etc they have had massive problems at theirs). I'll post some pics off my phone when I can. We are in Tulip Way. Where abouts are you? Re: Coral Homes Grange 26 Modified - Mornington Facade - Ham 9Mar 27, 2018 8:44 am Also Chrystal, we looked at porcelain tiles 600x600 and for our house (living, kitchen and hallways) it was about $6000 to upgrade. We ended up going for a matte finish as they are better wearing in our opinion and dont show blemishes as much. Also, for your facade and render colours, visit the Austral bricks iVisual website, it gives a good indication. Re: Coral Homes Grange 26 Modified - Mornington Facade - Ham 10May 09, 2018 2:57 pm Hi Stuey3 Sorry I have been MIA, I cannot really say much on the progress, still waiting for colour variation costs to come back from the 27 March! I cannot believe it. I am not happy with the type of retaining walls they want to use (I want i-beam straight metal ones, they said an additional cost between $1.5k-$2k even though the specifications doesnt state the ones to be used), that they pour a straight concrete slab without a step down into the garage which is not only practical but also, a safety feature. I enquired about this and they wanted to slap me with an additional $4.5k charge, it is not that much work, maybe a little bit extra form work but anyway. I hope your build is progressing better than mine as people in the Estate are already building My Grange build - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic. ... 7#p1791047 We spent close to 2 years in a process with TA.
