It's just stopped working all together. I turned it off after using it and now it won't turn back on anymore! Clock and timer still work - just none of the oven functions After 4 years - we're in! Not good, but those kids must be easy to catch. If you have an iphone, there are some interesting apps that would be very helpful... like "icam". You could be able to see at any time on your iphone up to 4 video cameras (webcams) that you have placed in your house. This app also detects motion and you would be alerted if something is moving in front of the cam. You would just need to call the cops ASAP, and you would have a very good idea of who broke in... Probably enough evidence to catch them and get your goods back (because if you catch them in, big chances that your computer is gone!) For around $6 I think (plus an iphone + a little installation), that could be an idea until you get some more neighbours... Although, that must be a bit frustrating to watch live a loser stealing your goods... but, I think I will do a little installation of this kind when I move in (if never I move in one day, because they take their time! lol) All the best ! Fred Re: Building an Impression 38 Mk II (43) - we're in! 731Apr 07, 2010 7:40 am Hey Fred - thanks! Hubby is investigating doing a full security camera fit out (I work from home a lot during the day and he's a bit worried about me) - but your idea is a great excuse to get an iPhone We caught some kids tresspassing on the golf course on the weekend as well. I have pictures and video footage of them on private property Will be sending it on the developers in case there was damage and they want to prosecute. After 4 years - we're in! Re: Building an Impression 38 Mk II (43) - we're in! 732Apr 07, 2010 7:53 am Good onya for being so proactive! It's a shame these kids don't respect others property. I suppose this is pretty common with new developments, but still... Stefan Building the M3tr!con Liberty 42 at Stonecutters Ridge. The New Build Blog - "Life, In Progress." The parents don't even care - that's what is really sad After 4 years - we're in! Re: Building an Impression 38 Mk II (43) - we're in! 734Apr 08, 2010 5:29 pm All systems go for turf prep tomorrow and laying on Saturday. Initially rain was forecast for Sat and I had called it off for a 2nd weekend in a row (my bobcat guy, soil guy and turf guy must have been annoyed!) but at 2pm today the Bureau of Meterology updated the forecast to sunny all day until Monday - so a rush of phone calls later and it's all systems are go! Just need to pick up the fertiliser spreader I hired and move my bags of gypsum, zeolite and containers of spongolite to the back yard. 11t of sand, 12m3 of certified organic soil are being delivered tomorrow morning - I'll have to remember to take some pics as we go! I bet that will be nice to get done. When are the fences going in? Stefan Building the M3tr!con Liberty 42 at Stonecutters Ridge. The New Build Blog - "Life, In Progress." Re: Building an Impression 38 Mk II (43) - turf soon 739Apr 09, 2010 1:58 pm I want to hold a house warming shin dig some time in the next 6 months - so we needed to get started. I worked pretty hard this morning - but the afternoon is mostly the bobcat doing his thing. Plus - I'm getting the turf people to lay it for us. Exterior just didn't want to take a sustainable approach to developing the soil (as Fu recommends) - plus they were expensive! Yep - fences will take 1-2 weeks to prep - once I knew turf was going down - fences had to go in. That way - when the ratbag kids are around - they can't access our property without knowingly tresspassing (we couldn't charge them with tresspass unless our property is clearly marked) A lot of this is driven by the fact that my apple trees and citrus will arrive in June - so we need to be ready to go (with the espalier set up, gardens etc) I have a big garden bed planned for down the side of the house - but since the soil is mostly clay (and slightly improved today) - I'm planting a green manure crop to really enrich the soil before I plant the natives in Spring. I'm a woman with a landscape plan - watch out! After 4 years - we're in! Re: Building an Impression 38 Mk II (43) - turf soon 740Apr 09, 2010 5:05 pm Phew! Today was a full day! Story of our turf prep is on the blog: http://stonecuttersridge.blogspot.com/2 ... u-way.html I realised that I need to improve my handy-woman skills - I really wasn't very good using a spade (or a shovel), found it difficult to use a wheelbarrow on lumpy ground (perfectly flat surfaces and I'm fine!) and couldn't carry bags of garden materials (20-25kgs each) Luckily our bobcat driver helped me out and gave me some tips on optimal spade/shovel technique and now I'm a pro I just need to build up my muscles so that I can handle more weight!
