Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Avoca 20 - Ripley QLD 46May 22, 2018 6:20 pm Alright, well since February and until early May not much happened, as we had problems with our useless customer rep who would maybe call once a week asking for things we either already gave him or it was up to him to do as the builder. At one point it took two weeks and five phone calls, one to his boss included to sort him out, just for him to understand that we don't and couldn't set up power connection. We rang the power people three different times just to hear them explain it the same way and confirm what he was telling us was wrong. End of April he got the sack, unfortunately I wasn't given the heads up and only found out when on calling him to chase him up yet again, it was a voicemail for someone elae from Coral. I wasnt impressed but we got out start date for 8th May and apologies from the higher up. We went out and spent a few hrs weedhacking and tidying before the start, only for our SS to tell us on the day we shouldn't have bothered as they would have cleared it anyway! My partner met SS in site and I'd spoken with him earlier and he has been right on top of things so far, very relieved. I started a new job in April with intensive training so havent had the chance to check the block every day, but as of Saturday we have a slab!!!!! Since he left had a start date in a couple of weeks. I made so many calls to his manager and they just apologised and said he was learning then he must of got the sack. I felt bad but he was the worst person to deal with! So excited. How did you go Cas? Has original poster been back yet? Love to see house We are doing good now got the 3rd of June start.. not too long to go. Only problem is they want the retaining wall done straight after the cut the pad. And this is right when my hubby flies out to work. So now planning that one. It’s only a 400ml high one but it’s 21 metres long. It will be smooth sailing from here, congrats on the slab. How often do you plan to go out? Let me know if you want any photos, I can walk up and take some for you We were lucky we lived in springfield lakes when we started building so we went every day after work. At least a month delay as apparently fire ants That sucks Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much.
