We are considering building a new home with a semi-volume builder. Not one of the big names, but some that can rejig some existing designs.
Just wondering what tips did you take to try and save a few $$$. Or was it even worth trying to do that?
I was thinking of things such as.
Getting external trades afterwards for things like carpet installation.
Getting downlights, extra powerpoints, data points etc. installed after the build with a independent sparky.
Paying someone else to do internal painting?
What are the key areas that would be worth doing! Or is it just easier and just as cost effective going with the company?
