Hi all,
I’m in the process of planning a build in SE QLD. I would like a sustainable / eco friendly house and is keen on building with MgO skinned structural insulated panels.
Unfortunately, because it’s not mainstream, not many builders have seen it, let alone be familiar building with it.
I was given the contact of [name removed] by the manufacturer of MgO boards (MgO Corporation) based in Brisbane, and have spoken to him over the phone. He said that he’s been building all over eastern states, big and small home, many projects using SIPs. He’s proud that he can knock up a house very rapidly (10 weeks or so - can’t really remember exact what he said), and is willing to travel to build.
The problem though is that I can’t seem to be able to find anything about him or his company online... Only thing Google search revealed is that his last company (Shannon Plumbing & Construction in QLD) was either de-registered or went insolvent according to ASIC.
Over the phone he just seemed over confident / over ambitious about what his fly in, fly out crew can achieve with SIPs.
Would like to hear from anyone with direct contact with him or his company, or any knowledge about the type of work he does.
Many thanks,
Kevin
