Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 221Jun 17, 2018 8:22 am That's looking great. I'm looking forward to waterfall edges on a kitchen island, they look so good! Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 222Jun 20, 2018 8:39 am Outdoor tiling now done. Not expecting that.
Looks great, grout lines match up all the way round and there is even a little metal trim around the edge to stop the tiles getting chipped. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ They look a bit grey in the photo but they are actually the same colour as the indoor ones. I think once the outside walls are painted Linseed, the tiles will look a bit more ivory. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Painters have started as well. Should really bring out the colour of the tiles once its painted. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 223Jun 20, 2018 9:32 am they look great! We are getting our outdoor patio tiled after handover so I will have to remember to ask about the tiles matching up, thanks for the reminder Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 224Jun 20, 2018 9:39 am CC7 they look great! We are getting our outdoor patio tiled after handover so I will have to remember to ask about the tiles matching up, thanks for the reminder So worth talking to the tiler. The metal trim around the edge is a really nice finish too. I will get some better photos once everything is clean and you can actually see through the windows. I don't recall seeing metal trims before outdoors (but I havn't been looking at outdoor tiles in displays - haven't gotten that far ahead for us yet) but it seems like a great idea, like you said - less chipping we have our wet areas getting started today but we don't have a garage door haha Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 226Jun 20, 2018 10:13 am CC7 bestspecials CC7 they look great! We did mention to the tiler that we were putting a couple of big steps down to the letter box that we would be getting tiled, so he has even allowed a small overlap on the patio so we can tile on the front of the slab too. It looks excellent 😍😍😍 Thanks. Yours will look just as good once it's done. Pretty sure yours is about the same size. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 232Jun 27, 2018 7:29 am So, internal painting is well under way and loving the colour. Sorry, no photos as yet (it was a bit dark and gloomy yesterday). Saw the painter at the house and we had a look around, just need the feature walls painted. External render paint cancelled for rest of week due to rain. Electrical fitout booked for Friday, then it will start to feel like you can live there. Still no bath - Hmmmm!! They will do the feature walls when they come back to start the outside. Plumbers have finished (didn't even know they had started) Electricians onsite today to start the fit out. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main bathroom - we finally have a bath. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 238Jul 03, 2018 7:27 pm how good is your glass splashback! are you still on track for your PCI date you were given? Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 239Jul 03, 2018 9:16 pm CC7 how good is your glass splashback! are you still on track for your PCI date you were given? Thanks. Saw the SS today and he said the cleaners are starting tomorrow. He said we should be getting an email from Head Office shortly. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 (Newport) 240Jul 05, 2018 9:45 pm It feels like the end is really close. Outside painting nearly finished, screens installed, plumbing finished, mirrors, robes, shower screens installed, goop off windows and the cleaners have done a partial clean. Electricians coming tomorrow to finish off. Still need painters for feature walls, finish outside and touchup where other trades have scuffed walls (only a couple of spots which is good), carpet, dishwasher, silicon for bathrooms, site clean and cleaners to do final clean. SS said that he will be doing a Quality Inspection end of next week and then should be PCI for week after. So Close.
