Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 102May 02, 2018 6:31 pm Not the best photo but when I saw that the reinforcing/slab inspection had been raised in the council DA tracker I had to come out after work today to see our waffles! We have a temp fence now too and it makes the block look huuuuge. My sister and her husband are visiting from Qld this weekend and I'm now confident I'll get to show them a slab and not just a giant mud pie! Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 106May 03, 2018 8:58 am It's seems to pop up really quick from here. It will look like a house within the next 2 weeks. So exciting. Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 107May 03, 2018 9:43 am I’m hoping that slab gets poured today or tomorrow looking great, even in the dark. Gr8ly that’s hilarious and so true, I learnt to pop my powder room window in and out of the track so I could climb through (until I realized there was a far easier way to get in ) emma you will turn into a super sneak in no time Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 108May 03, 2018 10:52 am Our neighbours have had just a slab for what seemed like forever, on Saturday there was a big pile of frames just sitting there and last night they were up! Bit keen for a daylight stickybeak. ~ Emma Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 109May 05, 2018 2:27 pm Not quite a slab BUT we have a bike lock on the fence! I think the pour will happen on Monday. Our neighbour over the road now has a tender from our builder after hearing us rave about them. We also found out that the estate developer is going to pay for and install our back fence in the coming weeks, so that's more money for landscaping. Very exciting How hard does daylight savings make it to take good photos haha Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 113May 08, 2018 2:03 pm Can't wait to see photos of slab. Congratulations. Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 117May 09, 2018 10:42 am Slab from the back with the frame pile visible at the front. Next visit will be Saturday, I wonder if the framework will have started by then? They did our frame in one day and the roof trusses the next day.
