Cant wait to follow along Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 62Apr 14, 2018 10:38 pm Lot126 I'm so pumped for this build to finally take off! I spoke briefly to the tradies, they're on track to finish the plumbing on Monday and then on to slab formwork. And they let me take our lot sign out of the skip before it was buried under rubble! I’m pumped for you too, your off to a great start . Is your slab a traditional or waffle slab? Tie soil looks pretty good. Oh dear your poor sign needed saving Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 63Apr 14, 2018 10:40 pm marz1983 Just love all the excitement here. I would like to be able to garden without my neighbours feeling like they need to wave every time they see me . What are you thinking for hedging? Emma my husband is so keen on those coffee trees, I showed him your idea and he loves it. Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 64Apr 15, 2018 7:36 am My husband has been insisting on a coffee hedge since we first put down the deposit on our land This is where I'm hoping to purchase them: https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/Coffee-Tree-K7.htm Marz I'm off to find your thread now! ~ Emma Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 65Apr 15, 2018 7:47 am Tribe7 Lot126 I'm so pumped for this build to finally take off! Love it they look so good. I’ll have to research them for our soil, we have black soil which insane clays I’m not sure they like that. Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 74Apr 16, 2018 3:17 pm I wasn't 100% sold on the door at first but now I love the idea, it will let lots of natural light into our foyer which will work well for the green wall I'm planning in a picture recess. Also glad we went with the big handle because a 2340x1200 door will be pretty heavy!! ~ Emma Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 75Apr 16, 2018 5:22 pm Tribe7 Great selections Emma, the door is awesome and the bricks too. Can you believe they will actually go up in the next 3 months, unbelievable hey I still pinch myself, can't believe I'm building a house! ~ Emma Re: Barbie Dream House - First Build in Port Stephens 77Apr 18, 2018 6:58 am Looks like we are on a similar timeframe and only a couple of days apart. Will be exciting to follow your build too.
