Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 15, 2018 9:44 pm So today i was notified our site supervisor has resigned. We are past lock up. The bathroom tiles, vanities, kitchen cupboards and laundry cupboards are all done. The site supervisor said he has booked everything in and thinks mid-March fir handover. My question: at this stage, how much does a site supervisor change affect the progress? Re: Site supervisor has resigned. We are past lock up stage. 2Jan 16, 2018 3:31 pm It is probably upto the motivation and organizational skills of your new supervisor , In your situation I would expect no tangible delays. I mean surely the booking's will not be cancelled or postponed. Have you contacted the building company to ask what is happening? Re: Site supervisor has resigned. We are past lock up stage. 3Jan 16, 2018 8:57 pm Thanks Twinning. He doesn't finish up until 24 Jan, so hes still our main contact for now. I will contact the builder soon. Just wanted to let my emotions run their course before calling them and having a nervous breakdown 😂 Was just hoping for feedback from others. There is another build on our street with diff builder, and they have had at least 3 SS changes. Now they have no one on site ever! It has just completely stalled. 1 4650 Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6040 The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 8672 |
