If the gutters overflowed the water only has one place to go and that is down your wall. I wouldn't be too concerned unless it happens every time it rains but I would mention it to the builders to get them to have a look anyway. Maybe get them to check whether the gutters are performing as expected. Out of curiosity do you have sarking? Does you neighbour also have a boundary wall on that side? I don't know whether it would have any effect but I'm building at moment with sarking and a neighbouring boundary wall so curious to know what I can expect.
