We are paying apx $850 per sq mtr ex site cost and we have apx 100 sq mtr that is not internal house ie Alfresco, Garage & Portico. However it would have been less if we went 2c bricks and colorbond roof. We had no problem with our bank valuation even with our upgrades. Thanks Choosy. Ours is 2c bricks with acrylic render at front and right side elevation. 31c ceiling in living areas and 28c in rooms and scullery, dropped ceiling in the kitchen and recessed ceiling in the theatre. Our builder use Affinity windows as standard. We will have shingle roof tiles, 600x600 floor tiles in living including kitchen and scullery then 300x200 in wet areas. We upgraded to roller blinds as window treatment. Cabinetry is formica laminates. Unfortunately building is a business and some builders will quote what they think you are willing to pay, especially if they know you won't have a problem with finance. We are all different as are the products used by the builders, its takes time to compare apples to apples, especially if you want pears. Good luck with your build. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17598 Seems good to me. I've been told $4-5k/sqm is reasonable in Perth. 2 11171 Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7119 |
