Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 06, 2018 10:00 pm Hi all I'd be grateful if you could give me your thoughts on building principle for our new home. We are in Victoria and have a block of 19mx60m. Land run long east to west. Ive sketched up two layouts that we are considering and have seen these two principle 2 designs in display homes. Layout A: Has living and dining at back of house and we would put an alfresco looking out to backyard/pool along the living/dining side - alfresco and dining/living will have good look out to back. Layout B: Has living/dining/kitchen all running east to west, with windows running on the northern side to maximise light. Alfresco would be smaller maybe sitting north of kitchen. Disadvantage may not have such a open look to back. Appreciate your thoughts and any ideas to improve.
