Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 04, 2018 7:45 am Hi All, I'm looking at a house and land package at Emerald Hill Estate in NSW. The land has 1.5 meter fall from back to front. Just wondering what would be the cost of fencing? Do I need retaining wall under the fencing? Also what would be the cost if I plan to flatten the back yard later say for building a swimming pool or something? Any help will be much appreciated. Also they have shown $10k as land access fee in the sales quote. Is this something common? Thanks Salam Re: Land fall of 1.5 meter 2Jan 04, 2018 10:18 am Hi @Salam welcome to the forum I suggest you get a contour survey and site report from the land developers for starters items that need to be considered and not limited to in site works are: Cut & Fill, compaction, footing details, piling, Retaining, Fencing, Stormwater disposal, service runs (water, gas, electricity sewerage, etc), Crossover, landscaping, pool etc,etc If you require a more comprehensive list and estimate post back more info. hth Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Land fall of 1.5 meter 3Jan 04, 2018 10:41 am Hi StructuralBIMGuy, Thanks for coming back to me. This is a house and land package. Builder is saying they will take care of the land leveling and everything within the cost. I'm just worried about driveway, fencing and landscaping as they are not part of the package. Would you know if a retaining wall may be required under the fencing if I have 1.5 meter fall? Regards, Salam Thank you Splashers. Tomorrow I might check if I can get a few packs of 300x300 in the same tile finish. It may be good to use these could in the shower recesses.
