Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 We are still waiting on painting which is interesting given the flooring has gone in and our carpet was supposed to go in yesterday. I think being down the south coast we have been relatively lucky with trades and haven't had too many delays. Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 5Dec 19, 2017 1:39 pm whoa. how did i miss this! So painting is not started... or are they up to 2nd coat now? looks like a coat has already been done. yes the tile selections looks great! they gave you the correct vanity mixer, I will have a go at them tomorrow if they try and tell me they have changed specs lol. What happened to your shower head? Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 6Dec 19, 2017 1:42 pm ohh and i like the inset basins. were they an upgrade? Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 7Dec 19, 2017 2:08 pm ehhc ohh and i like the inset basins. were they an upgrade? Yes, basins were an upgrade - but not a very expensive one. We were lucky enough to grab the size the dream package before it ran out so we got ducted air, 20 downlights, 40mm stone to kitchen & 20mm stone to bathroom, as well as a few less expensive items for $9K. Our shower heads just aren't attached to the ensuite. I upgraded them to fixed height rain shower heads and they were installed too low. My husband who isn't tall couldn't fit under them. So we are waiting for the tilers to return and fix up the removed tiles before the shower heads go back on. I found the whole process of upgrades really difficult. would have been amazing if they could have just given us a brochure with prices - I get it's difficult though as prices are always changing. I fought for all the Caroma bathroom accessories. They were one of the few things that were itemised in our Sekisui inclusions so I made sure we got them. We have an undercoat on the walls but I'm not sure if it is our wall colour? And ceilings cornice and skirtings have been painted but our skirtings were all damaged when they had to grind down our slab for flooring. I had a look at our Inspire inclusions last night and we have HMP light switches, not Legrand which is disappointing. Inspire and seize the dream! we didn't even know that Infinity was a thing until trimum mentioned it. If you don't have it already, you can ask the CSO for the Work Order End Panels document. Its all the specifications, selections and variations put into one document, without prices. It says external use, I saw that our electrician got a copy. Did you do colours with Sekisui or Burbank? Yeah, pics and prices would have been good. We got someone awesome at Sekisui who was happy to email us back and forth for 2 weeks giving us upgrade quotes from the estimator. Then on the appointment day we met with Anissa who just help put everything together then a variation came a few days later. Colour appointment was still our favourite interaction with Sekisui/Burbank. Wish those people stayed on with the company. Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 9Dec 19, 2017 2:33 pm They were $30 each. I couldn't believe it. Especially when our colour consultant told us they would be an expensive upgrade. I quickly learnt to get costs for everything and then just pick and choose once prices came in. I wish I did that with externals. I really wanted a bigger front door but didn't know if I could afford it and our timber laminate floorboards. The floorboards ended up being a huge credit. We did our colours with Burbank. It was awful. Kara told us things were included like the bulkhead at the display and then when our house was built the bulkhead wasn't there. We were lucky that Brett was happy to just do it for us. Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 10Dec 19, 2017 2:41 pm 30bux each? thats unheard of! would have done them too if we had known! Nice work! lol our biggest bargain was $40 for an extra external tap. The materials alone would cost that much wouldn't it? We were given a 3rd external tap for free.Yep We still don't know why but we have two taps at the front + the one at the water meter and one at the back. Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 12Dec 19, 2017 6:10 pm Loving your thread and have subscribed your house looks great!! How exciting for you now you’re nearly at the end, I’m so pleased your build was not as problematic as ours I think we all suffered a lot with the weeks of rain at the start of our build it definitely put our builds back several weeks. Can’t wait to see your home all finished up! That’s great you have your inclusions all sorted correctly it certainly makes you feel more relaxed when they are doing things right Re: Sekisui / Burbank - Mimosa / Northwood 244 13Dec 19, 2017 7:40 pm BecMorris We are still waiting on painting which is interesting given the flooring has gone in and our carpet was supposed to go in yesterday. Yes I have bookmarked your thread.
