Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 12, 2017 6:58 pm Hi all.... ive been patiently waiting for over 9 months now as the single story/single garage home next door is built at what has to be the slowest build in Willowdale. Next doors property is a zero lot and I have a question regarding access to the site via my property. I have given the builder access to complete the garage wall, my property was left in a huge mess and my side gate was damaged although this is another story for another day. Question is now that the building is nearly complete and ive put back up the fence is that the end of these guys coming onto my property/me having to give them access? Or must I give them access for things like future landscaping / concreting as the only way to access that side of the house where the boundary is to walk around their house from the other side that isn't built onto the boundary? I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Re: Access to zero lot line boundary? 3Dec 13, 2017 12:21 pm Unfortunately yes that boundary has a broken line/easement and I think all zero lots have this easement on the adjoining property.... im just trying to understand does this mean even though the building is up, garage wall on the boundary and fence is done that I must always give them access whenever they need or want access to that side? I don’t mind the access for that garage wall but what im concerned about is next door wanting to gain access from my property to concrete/landscape that side of their house. I feel there isn’t enough clarification on areas like this or i just haven’t found it yet I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Re: Access to zero lot line boundary? 4Dec 13, 2017 12:38 pm The easement is ONLY for access to your property for construction/maintenance of the wall built on the zero lot. If they want access to do any landscaping or concreting, they can access their property via their own property I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 10039 You must be new to the internet. We build 10mm in from the boundary. My house and my neighbours house have garages that sit only 20mm apart. When I had our roof done… 3 7075 |
