However, the build is very non-conventional as it is using integrated concrete form work since it is in a bush fire prone area as well as the steepness of the slope. Look up Cordony Constructions (http://www.cordonyconstructions.com) I wouldn't discount architects so quickly but you can also use a very good draftsman as well. I wouldn't recommend Cordony Constructions after my experience with them. Adam Cordony is the licensed builder but much of the work is done by his unlicensed father, Chris. Chris Cordony' s licence was cancelled - see Janet Campbell v CJ Cordony and Sons. Adam learnt his trade from his father. The work they did on my home required Fair Trading to issue three rectification orders. When Adam Cordony refused to accept responsibility for breaching his warranty obligations to build with care and skill, I had to take the matter to NCAT.
