Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 03, 2017 10:46 pm Hi Everyone, I need some good advice from those who are/have been in similar situations. We have had final approval from KEYSTART for the maximum amount of $480,000. Throughout the process our broker and builder has said that we are able to make upgrades at prestart with our own cash. We have just found out that we can't make ANY upgrades at all because the Keystart house and land value has to be at $480,000 TOTAL. Now we are in an awful situation because we had pushed alot of things through as standard in our contract and were told we could upgrade at prestart. Our prestart was 2 working days before final approval, and was not ready for final signing off on until 10 days later. We were never told that prestart had to be completed before final approval- feeling so mislead and annoyed. Has anyone else been through this??
