I love that colour but didn’t want to upgrade so stuck with urban We originally weren’t either, but it was something our brains kept going back to, because we were worried Urban would be too warm with the floor tiles We were still undecided on the colours day too, but added it in and thought we would make a decision when we had to sign the paperwork on it. Decided the day after colours haha. If we had any other shade of tile or a wood look urban would be fine though Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 248Aug 05, 2018 7:29 am Sorry for the lack of updates. Pci was on the 26th. We had an inspector go through the day before and pick up some minor stuff and some stuff we had already noticed. Coral marked out a lot of little things, some we had seen before. Some stuff had already been fixed. We mostly marked paint stuff, especially skirting boards. A section where the gutters had been scratched that have to be touched up. Handover is tomorrow morning, and we have been told that all the work will be done BUT the change of two cupboard doors (they accidentally made one mirror and the other vinyl when it’s meant to be switched) they have to get re done as they are different heights to each other Didn’t take many photos, but I will have to take some after we get the keys. Good luck with handover I hope it goes without a hitch. Will look forward to some photo's Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 251Aug 06, 2018 8:59 am Looks wonderful. Handover day today. Yay!! Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 254Aug 22, 2018 6:32 pm Sorry guys! We only had nbn installed on Monday morning, so I haven’t had much access (and have been too tired to be honest haha) Hand over went pretty well. From what I’ve read here I was expecting painters to just remove stickers and only fix up some imperfections. But that was not the case, most of the imperfections were on skirting boards. Left over bricks were meant to be picked up the arfternoon of handover, but weren’t. A few other issues that had to be taken care of that we noticed/had happen after we moved it, but SS has been great and getting people on it quickly which is great and what you want. We are still waiting on our LED strip though, as apparently they are ‘out of stock’ and one of our pillar lights decided to stop working he first night in The first morning in, the house over the back started with the build, and while having something to watch was fun with breaky, it was nice to have our back fence go up the next morning to have some privacy and cut out some of the dirt flying around. We got most of our stuff moved in on the Tuesday. We have done about 5 trips to ikea hahaha. Had people in for quotes etc. been a little exhausting but we are loving our house and the living space is much more roomy than we thought it would be Here are some photos from last week. Master hasn’t been set up yet (no blinds yet, so we are sleeping in the media room ahah) and the wir is now finished and mostly organised with clothes and boxes Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We hacked the legs on the ikea couch, and we love the outcome Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have a driveway as of last Thursday too, and be able to drive on it tomorrow. The garage is FULL of ikea boxes haha but we think we have enough room for a car Landscaping doesn’t have a date yet, but we know who we are going with and are looking to do a small retaining wall garden at the front with turf on the side of the house, and gravel on the other with pavers, back strip is undecided yet haha. No rush yet as we kind of just want to try and settle for a bit before more chaos happens Our mesh flyscreens are getting installed on the weekend too, we may have to say goodbye to some light coming in but it means our cat can come live with us so yay Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 256Aug 22, 2018 7:08 pm watto82 Looks fantastic, we're also going the ikea wardrobe route, yours look amazing! They are so good! Would be way cheaper than a custom fit out too. The boxes for the robes themselves are so bloody heavy though haha Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 257Aug 22, 2018 7:28 pm Looks fabulous. Glad everything is going well. I just bought the wardrobe drawers from IKEA. Job to do on the weekend and lots more boxes to unpack. Re: Coral Homes / Avoca 23 / Handover 6th of August 258Sep 11, 2018 8:35 am How is everything coming along? The bathrooms have Urban in them though, and it's a tad warmer/browner than Oyster Hi, just wondering how much extra it was to upgrade to Oyster instead of the standard urban? I know that it will depend on the size of your bench top but if I could get an estimate it would be great. We are building the Longreach and haven't started the colour process yet but really liked the oyster (well I actually liked the rugged concrete but considering its in the supernatural range it will be out of our price range lol). We are building the Longreach and haven't started the colour process yet but really liked the oyster (well I actually liked the rugged concrete but considering its in the supernatural range it will be out of our price range lol). I’m not sure how big Longreach is (is that a new one?) our kitchen is not hugely long like some of the other styles, but here is our price so hopefully it’s a little help; for both (island and stove area) in 20mm it was a total of $414 to upgrade to Oyster. We were quoted $450 at colours so it came back cheaper which was nice. It’s really beautiful Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13775 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4352 yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5331 |
