You are not going to believe me but you are our neighbour. We are lot 4258 on Paddington Street...how funny is that and we are building the Heywood 29. We have the corner block. We went very basic with our wet area tiles as we figure we would prefer to have the upgrades in other areas of the house and in the place we sit and shower...LOL Look forward to keeping up to date. Sharon Re: Problems with PD CSC 23Sep 03, 2008 1:02 pm Newbies and Homeishome: Yay for you! I guess you guys got lucky! Everytime partner and I drove through Sth Morang to visit the display homes, all we could see were big piles of rock all over the place! Both your site costs are still lower than ours too.. grr.. we had to upgrade to H Class slab cuz ground was H Class soil.. needed 28 piers!! Not too bad tho.. all-in-all came to just over $13k. CSC said we got lucky with the slab. Woo Hoo!
shazburger: What a coincidence! Perhaps we may meet one day checking out our respective homes "Of all the streets, in all the estates, in all of Victoria.. " hee hee hee! Partner and I were thinking about building the Heywood29 but we couldnt justify paying an extra 4k for 1sqm. It's just the two of us anyway! For now.. Got better things to spend it on. We've also decided to go pretty standard with the wet areas as well (I think I've already spent the extra money at Hopetoun.. LoL!!) Hopefully we can put it some feature tiles, depending on how much they cost.. I've already sold my liver and one of my kidneys.. LoL! Re: Problems with PD CSC 24Sep 03, 2008 1:34 pm This will be good to see
two heywoods in progress all together, then you can compare and contrast and make things look better for each other. That's Good, i would like it. Re: Problems with PD CSC 25Sep 18, 2008 11:04 am Hi guys!
Just wanted to let you know our tile appointment went fantastic! I'm extremely happy with our tiles and the design... AND THE PRICE!! It took us all up about an hr, then we had some lunch while our selection got priced up, then came back and signed our lives away again! We upgraded the tiles to Cat 2 and added a pebble feature in the ensuite and bathroom all for under $1k!! Extremely happy! On a lower note, because our tile appointment was after our contract appointment, CSC hasnt got back to us with the final variations including the tiles, for us to sign off on. It has now been nearly 2 weeks. Getting so totally crabby again. I'm usually a patient person, but it's running quite thin at the moment.. *sigh* Re: Problems with PD CSC 26Sep 18, 2008 8:30 pm All sounds like it is starting to move in the right direction for you...although slowly... have they given you a time frame on when they are looking at sarting you?
We are booked in for November and have been very lucky with our CSR as we seem to have struck one that does not mind helping us out. Have you seen the number of houses that are going up around our way??? Hope all moves along swimmingly soon.... They havent as yet given us a time frame to build, but due to their proposed October 31st site start, i'm guessing they'll start early November. So far, i guess everything seems to be on track. We managed to get in touch with our CSR after calling FIVE times on Friday.. still no sign of our PCVs yet.. Apparently we're supposed to get them today... we'll see if we get them.. We havent been round to Cragieburn for about 3 weeks now.. there's more stuff going on?? Man.. that's really quick. I cant wait to see how much more has happened since we've been there! Re: Problems with PD CSC 28Oct 20, 2008 10:08 pm Hi guys!
Quick update: Final PCV's signed! Next up, a chat with the lenders and hopeful site start on predicted date! Woo hoo!
