Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with JG King - Barossa 255 in Ballarat. 11Jan 17, 2018 9:44 pm Ooohh it's looking great. We are very seriously thinking about the Barossa 255 and building in Romsey. We'd need a ranch style for the block we are looking at, and this design has such a great layout. Hope the process is going well for you. Plaster and bricks have arrived and all going well should start next week. The only delay is the rear sliding door which may hold up brick work. We met our site supervisor, and we went over the house with him, a couple of minor things missing ( 2 down lights and power point in wrong spot, but all corrected. We had a massive thunder storm over the weekend, and the strong wind knocked some of the insulation out. This is why it looks messy. It is slowing making progress. Brick work cleaned Cabinetry put in this week so looking more like a home. Really happy with the colour of the cabinets. This week the slab for our big shed also was put down. Have you anymore updates? What type of flooring did you choose? My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Building with JG King - Barossa 255 in Ballarat. 18Apr 17, 2018 8:36 pm Our house is moving along slowly, the painting was done last week after 2 weeks delay, the tiler is now working away. He is expected to take 2 weeks as we are tiling a big area. We are using Belga Taupe tiles, l was worried as they look darker, but l compared the samples and my moment of panic was over. I am not entirely happy with the paining, have found a few short cuts, like robes all done in wall colour, ceiling and architraves not white. the other issue was top and bottom exegesis of doors not painted. This is a warranty issue and a bit of a sore point. We are hoping to be in, end of May. Let’s hope so, as from this week we are living in a caravan at our sons, after having to leave our rental earlier than planned. ☹️ I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 73612 1 1029 I’m curious about how you went with this. We are planning a KDRB and considering Plantation Homes as a builder. I’m aware that after the demolition another soil test… 1 6313 |
