Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 07, 2017 10:21 am We are building through Kurmond Homes, we are waiting for Builders Certificate since last 2 months and still haven't got any clue when we will get one as they are not answering. What was your experience with your builders or with Kurmond Homes? Please share!!! Re: How long did it take you to get a Builder certificate? 3Nov 07, 2017 6:40 pm 1building @Nada17 What's up from your end? our plans are in council. we spoke to our officer, he told us the plans will be out this week. Kurmond says they will need another month for getting a CC. how long did it take you to get a CC Re: How long did it take you to get a Builder certificate? 4Nov 08, 2017 9:09 am @Nada Wow, your plans are to the council. That's great You can track your application from this website, FYR: https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/l ... pplication Kurmond told us CC would be part of CDC approval. They said we have our CC ready. I am confused with Construction Certificate - CC and Building Certificate - HBCF...!!!!! We have everything ready to build our house but nothing is happening as Kurmond Management is SLACK...! Since last 2 months, we are waiting for building certificate to start construction process... Last month (OCT) they told us within 4 weeks your file will move ahead as soon as they will get a certificate... Now just last week they told us that Kurmond Management team has decided to release their 1st lot within 4 weeks (DEC) as they will have builder certificate by that time... and Unfortunately, we are not in the 1st lot!!!! I AM EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED... when I ask them when would be our turn?? when will the 2nd lot get certificates then they reply " we don't know, sorry we can't tell you"...!!!!! I asked ... give us timeframe - 2 months, 4 months or 6 months - but they refused to do so!!!! I am predicting they will easily waste our another 3 - 4 months just like this...!!! We have already wasted our 2 months by waiting for Builders certificate... Kurmond is not faithful builder!!! They are good with false promises and providing misleading commitments... WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!! I have no idea... Hope you have a smooth and pleasant journey with them... Re: How long did it take you to get a Builder certificate? 5Nov 08, 2017 9:22 am sorry to hear that.. We are actually on a verge of changing the builder. we are fed up with not being able to coordinate anything with them. Those ladies we are dealing with have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to changing anything on plan. long story short... If they tell us to wait for the certificate we will change them 100%. We have a back up builder we liked but they were a bit more expensive. Now I am just thinking we lost so much money and time with Kurmond so the wise thing to do is to go on with another builder. Which builder are you talking about? I must say KH is making money by fooling and misleading clients like us... We have already spent $32000 with those KH!!! I don't know what to do now... Hope you have a smooth and pleasant journey with them... just fyi, CC - is a construction certificate that the builder takes from a PCA. this means that the home design follows all councils requirement and such. as for the HBCF - this is an insurance. the builder cannot sign the contract without it. that insures that whatever happens to your build during and 6 years after the construction the damage and losses are insured. I don't know why Kurmond cannot get HBCF for you. I am just thinking you could call Fair Trading and speak to them. Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20357 Congratulations! Nice to put that to bed before christmas, now you can relax 3 7134 Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6151 |
