Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 141Apr 08, 2018 12:45 am It’s looking great! A while back when the electrical was going in I sent the SS an email about a couple of things missing or that I didn’t think were right. Had an electrician come through yesterday to discuss lights & solar panels and he confirmed I was correct. Had to ring the SS and tell him to get it checked. So frustrating when you’ve pointed it out and nothing is done but at least it’s been picked up before white set. Make sure you double check they fix it if they have finished. Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 142Apr 19, 2018 10:39 am Slow couple of weeks here. The roof was completed Monday last week and so far no one else has been to site since. We are apparently waiting for the plastering team to start which was supposed to be early this week and then the ceilings and white set to go in next week. Electric and plumbing rough in is all complete and Intelligent Homes have been in and done their cabling. Thankful to have the roof on now the weather is starting to turn, although could do with getting to lock up quick smart! A new one with a wading deck has been released so $950 later we are having this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 143Apr 19, 2018 11:09 am We waited a week for a rendering team, according to hubby it was worth the wait. Hopefully they will get a wriggle on soon as they have a lot to do on your build. Nice looking pool 😍 Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 144Apr 19, 2018 2:22 pm nicolac34 Slow couple of weeks here. Hopefully they get moving for you soon! Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 145Apr 27, 2018 10:35 am Have you had any more progress nicolac34? Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 146Apr 27, 2018 11:07 am Yes thankfully! Went by on Friday last week to find the internal rendering had been completed. Another drive by on Monday and I could see the gyprock from the garage was being used so assume the ceilings were going up. Haven’t been able to get back since but the CL said she expected the rendering team to be back yesterday to do the outside (rain delayed, waiting for the bricks to dry). I asked for an estimate of lock up but she ignored that question! We’ve had a change in CL, our normal one left suddenly so I think the one that is now handling our case temporarily has a lot on her plate, so updates are even less forthcoming than they were before. The float looks great. Shame about the lack of updates due to losing the CL but hopefully that will be rectified soon 😊 Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 148Apr 27, 2018 9:26 pm Thank you! Did have a walk through this evening, the ceiling and cornices are in and the external render is almost complete. They’ve just got the garage and the back pillars to do. Not sure why they were left and not done at the same time.. The external render has been finished and the front two windows were in and some along the side. No idea what order they are doing things in as we aren’t really getting any updates. Thought we’d be a few weeks from windows as next door haven’t got theirs yet (same builder slab went down 2 weeks before us) Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 151Apr 30, 2018 6:18 pm nicolac34 Did a quick drive by today (tend to drive by most days trying to get my 2yo to sleep!) and much to my surprise we had some windows!! Thought we’d be a few weeks from windows as next door haven’t got theirs yet (same builder slab went down 2 weeks before us) It's so hard trying to figure out next steps as every builder i feel does things a little differently. I'm glad i have a portal to help give me an idea. There is a house 2 houses down from me. Slab went down weeks ahead of mine, bricks ahead of me & then their build seemed to stop for 2-3 weeks. Now from the outside and deliveries i saw today it looks like they are ahead of me again. Will be interesting to see when they finish! Good to see you've got progress again Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 152May 03, 2018 10:22 pm All windows and the stacker doors are now in and the white set plaster has been finished. Not sure what’s happening between now and the end of next week other than some doors for lock up. Hopefully we’ll be surprised again and they’ll lock us up sooner! 😃 Been busy working through quotes over the past couple of days, trying to shave a few thousand off some bits. Think we’ve managed to scale back the dressing room with Lifestyle Wardrobes and we are probably going to scale back the window treatments as well. Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 154May 04, 2018 10:02 pm Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 155May 04, 2018 10:04 pm How exciting nicolac34! Looks like they’re moving along now, 🤞🏻 They keep up the speed for you 😁 Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 156May 04, 2018 10:32 pm Congrats 🎉 temp doors are considered lock up, shame you are not getting regular updates however at least you have not got the invoice yet 🤣🤣🤣 Re: Aveling Build - Rosehill Waters 159May 11, 2018 8:59 pm Ok so according to Aveling last week wasn’t lock up 🤔 but we are at lock up now! 🙌🏻 Doors are on both externally and internally. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets due to go in next week, undercoat of the ceilings, doors and frames next week as well. External painting to start the end of the week and benchtops going in the following week. Bit of a blow that our bathroom and ensuite wall tiles won’t be in stock until June and if we wait it could mean a 2-3 week delay. We couldn’t find another tile we liked within the tile budget so we may have to wait. Going to have a look at the tile shop and pray they have some new selections! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17511 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9559 |
