Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 28, 2017 5:25 pm With the roof cover scheduled to go on next week we felt it was probably about time we posted on the build. It is a dual accommodation home for my wife and I, two young children and my brother who will be living in a granny flat arrangement under the main roof. Hopefully the plan is clear (not the most computer literate!). We are now at lock up stage so can't get in very often to take any photos. Due to the cut and fill had to get a huge retaining wall down one side but it has all worked out very well. We had the kids choose the laminex for their bathroom and they didn't disappoint (refer photo above). This is our forever home and as resale considerations aren't such an issue we decided to go against the grain and put some colour into the house. The laundry and kitchen will be black and white themed however (apart from the bright yellow splashback (coming soon)!~ Re: Building with Aveling in the Hills. 4Jan 30, 2018 10:10 pm nicolac34 Wow coming along nicely! Thanks nicolac34! I'm afraid I haven't posted much over the months of the build but so far we have been very happy with Aveling and any concerns or problems we have had are addressed quickly and efficiently. In most areas the build has actually exceeded expectations so we are very happy and just been advised that we are approximately 5 weeks away from our pre-handover inspection. Very exciting! Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11372 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3971 |
