Looking forward to following your thread. Nice colour choices, have you modified the plan much? Only modification is changing the rumpus room into a 5th bedroom, resulting in the addition of a lengthy linen cupboard lining the hallway adjacent to the room 👍🏻 Re: Coral Homes Longreach QLD 8Nov 22, 2017 8:23 pm Would like to say this process is fun, but so far it has proved anything but!! Whilst the colour consult was quite a good experience, I can’t really say the same for the tiling or electrical. Have been having lengthy discussions with the tiling head office! Really disappointed about miscalculations and misinformation. Also find the pricing for the Clipspec appalling 😩 We are thinking of going with the base electrical inclusions, and either hoping for a cash job with electrician, or completing after handover. Anyone have experience with that?? Re: Coral Homes Longreach QLD 9Nov 22, 2017 9:08 pm MsMel Would like to say this process is fun, but so far it has proved anything but!! Anyone have experience with that?? Yep it sure can be stressful, our selections went ok. Tiles were great so guess it depends which store you go to. Did have some dramas with the tile selection for the main floors, Beaumonts didn't have the correct paperwork, so main floors weren't included, also we wanted a 600x600 ceramic tile and Coral wanted to charge an extra 4.5k. Ended up choosing a 300x600 at no extra charge. Went with extra sockets at tender stage and battern holders for lights, had a friend of a friend lined up for extra work but was let down, getting downlights and extra fans fitted tomorrow as worked out cheaper, but is a bit more hassle. Thanks em-n-craig, think we might try the same with our electrical 👍🏻 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
