I can see above that kitchen/bathroom upgrades may be into the vicinity of $25K Trying to then think ahead to electrical: - Light/fans - More power points - More zones for air con - external lighting ...... Any indicative figures or other things to think about? Really appreciate all the advice on this forum! Strip lighting under kitchen cupboards Airplane lighting/strip lighting on stairs/hallway Any other ideas? Just quick one on stair lighting - we provisioned fittings for every 3 steps on our stairs and recently got the stair lights installed. Having a light per 3 steps (even though this was recommended in our electricals appointment) is way too bright. Also once you add up the batten provision plus cost of the stair lights (surprisingly expensive esp if you bought 5 like we did) plus sparky labour - it gets expensive. Hi ocean, depending on how your staircase is oriented, you could put one wall light high up on the wall facing the landing so it casts light on both landings - the only thing is it takes up wall real estate where you might want to put art/photos. If we could re-do, we would just have 1 stair light on each landing and 1 stair light on the wall facing both landings, so 3 in total. We love our carpet too - it's a closed loop and was a recent addition to the range at Accent - brand: ec, name: Acacia Hill, colour: Longford 1252 BTW, we also got strip lighting under kitchen cabinet from elba, cost approx $450 from memory. So a little confused as to how the roof is finished under the gutter. Thanks so much! Hi Jacks we are now looking at this too - I just searched to see what others said and found your post. What did you end up doing? Thank you. ocean, is this what you’re after? Our alfresco has a beam around the perimeter. Can see this more clearly from inside the alfresco but I don’t have a pic from Inside. Can take one tomorrow if you are interested.
