Just wondering if anyone chose a white/light coloured caesar stone for their kitchen and if they had any problems with stains from things like red wine or tumeric. I have been reading conflicting accounts of caesar stone some claiming it stains while others say it is impervious to stains. Hi tand, How many colours of caesar stone can we choose as a standard for H&H Premium Inclusion? Do you have photos to share for these standard caesar stone range? From my research, the caesar stone should be not easy to get the stain, as long as you clean up straight away after the split. Thanks in advance! Hi Tea Land, Just finished our kitchen selections and there are 6 standard colours as part of the premium inclusions. These are Urban, Osprey, Wild rice, Jet black, White shimmer and Linen. Hi tand, Thanks a lot for your information! Much appreciated... What's the cost for you to upgrade the 1200mm island & ocean foam countertop? Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 392Aug 06, 2018 6:42 pm tand Hi Kjane, We really want the laminate but the quotes from Accent Carpets seem a bit expensive. This is in comparison to the Provisional Allowance we asked Chris to put in our tender for engineered wood and also the quote you have kindly provided. I know my upstairs area is larger than your downstairs Kjane, but I wasn't expecting my cost to be almost double. I selected an 8mm "midnight oak brown" laminate. We've enjoyed all the selections so far even though it consumes so much time. We ask for lots of quotes and are still deciding what to select. Still have the tiles selection to go next week. For the kitchen our list of selections so far are window splashback 1200mm island ocean foam counter top caroma undermount sink a couple more draws Hi tand, I think these all come to the personal choice and budget. Due to the builder's margin, the upgrade always more expensive than done after the handover. But keep in mind, there will be the issue with the builder's warranty for the items done after the handover. For us, we haven't go that far yet. But we will try to upgrade any structure items which hard to improve in the future as much as possible. And we will try our luck to stick with the standard inclusion for other items to keep our budget on the track. Do you think this strategy will work as per internal selection you just experienced? All best for your right decision, Cheers! Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 393Aug 06, 2018 6:47 pm Great news, kjane - well done you finally made it. How long it takes for you from paid the $10000 plan approval fee to sign the contract? Did you go through CDC of DA route? I am a bit worry about 270 days maybe not enough to commence the build? Your comments, please! Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 394Aug 06, 2018 6:53 pm Morri kjane Morri Hi guys, we’re late to the party in this group but just got underway with Hall and Hart. We’re building a Sienna Contemporary facade in Ryde Council. Demo complete and handed over to them this week. Expecting the slab complete by end of August. All progress to date has been good albeit slow with Ryde Council and a pesky tree. We’re tracking our progress on Instagram if you’re interested. Only pics so far are floorplan and demo. We’ll upload our selections over the coming weeks. On Instagram it’s Rebuilding_theLows. Hi Morri! Welcome, great to have another HHH on board and especially great for me another one in my local hood. We look like we are on the same timeplan. I wish I could see your progress on Instagram but I'm not on it. Would be great if you wanted to post them on here too. How long did your demo take? Looking forward to following your build Demo was 7 business days with Democorp, so pretty quick. Kids loved it too. Welcome to the party! Morri Is the Demo Corp disconnect the electricity & water service for you? Do you need to pay the fencing hire? How is their price like? Thanks! Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 395Aug 06, 2018 7:08 pm Zen By the way, we just paid the $10k acceptance and now at the next stage of waiting for hydraulic plans. Very apprehensive what comes back given the stormwater issues HHH raised in our tender presentation. Wonder if the $20k stormwater provision in our tender will be used up...? Hi Zen, nice to hear your progress! As we are still waiting for the details plan. Can you please advice me? Do I need to make the appointment with the brick selection centre for external colour selection or wait for HHH's instruction? How is your experience with this planning stage? Do you need to go to HHH Parramatta office to meet with HHH internal colour consultant for final external colour selection? Thanks a lot! Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 396Aug 06, 2018 7:14 pm tand Seren1ty kjane Beautiful! It looks so bright and airy but cozy at the same time, great work with your selections. Fabulous to hear that you have no major issues that need to be sorted, you'll be moved in no time. Thanks for the photo's. What are you thinking for lights in the stairs, entry and kitchen island? Hope you were able to source a good electrician. Thank you kjane! Yep we're pretty happy with the build quality. They've started on the remaining items and hopefully they will be all fixed soon and we'll be in! We've found an electrician who seems on the ball for a great price (PM me if you're interested in his details). We're planning to have all the upstairs downlights, fans, external lighting, entry feature light and pendant lights installed in-between handover and actually moving in. Apparently we avoid a lot of dust if we do it this way, and we get to move into a finished home For our entry feature, we are getting a Senorita 3 Pendant Light, and for Kitchen pendants we are getting three matching Senorita 1 Pendant Lights. For over the stairs, as it's so close to the entry feature light anyway, we are just having a single downlight installed. Hopefully they all tie in with the wood floors and handrails Senorita 3 Senorita 1 Hi Seren1ty, We are preparing for our electrical appointment (it is now being done directly with H&H). I know a sparky that can do electrical work for us post handover. How did you go about getting H&H to wire up things up for you to install later. I am particularly interested in down lights, external lights and security camera/sensors. Hopefully, H&H can put the price down for electrical items, since it is done directly with H&H. Best wishes! Your comments, please! It didn't take too long. We paid 10K on 10/4 and signed contract 6/7 and they were ready to start but we still had tenants in the house and gas connected. Demo started the day after we notified them of gas being disconnected. We went CDC route which I think sped things up.
