Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 299Jul 06, 2018 7:50 am Jacks It’s such pressure to make the right decision isn’t it. And then Rawson have released their $70k birthday special. I have to say it’s pretty attractive! It sure is, but choice is a good thing. Just be weary of big showy promotions with all builders, the truth is the cost of all those items is probably already included in their house pricing, so you are still paying for it. A bunch of the items are also standard with H&H Premium Inclusions, and then some more is covered again with their 30k promo. Just make sure to pick a builder you will be happy with. Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 300Jul 07, 2018 9:51 am tand Hi All, We are starting our build of an Elysee 38. The initial session with John and Chris were great and they put us at ease with all the questions we had. We were very excited and wanted to proceed as quickly as possible. However, we received our plans over 2 months ago and during that time have made a few minor adjustments including Moving house 100mm towards left boundary (our block is relatively flat) Moving the utility connections about (electric and gas meter) Relocating alfresco gas and water point slightly Addition of a wider front door Widening the drive way Although, these changes were all accommodated, every time I ask for a change or info about the change the response was quite slow and the vibe I got was that I was being difficult. It kind of puts me off asking for changes or questions and doubt is now settling in my mind about whether I have covered off everything I need to. As I have never built a house before and a lot of this stuff is new to me, I was hoping H&H would provide more guidance and assurance to help me make the right decision. I am fearful this a reflection of what is to come during the build phase and am starting to doubt whether I should proceed. My questions are Has anyone experienced this with H&H? Is this just how the process works? Am I being unreasonable? (Please don't be shy to be honest) Hi tand, We are currently in the pre-construction phase, so have received our detailed plans and putting in (hopefully) the last few variations before submitting to council. We made similar changes to you, ie. moving house towards left boundary, moving some utility connections, we also moved some windows around and added in a new one - so far the changes have been accommodated fairly quickly. I also had a few questions to clear up during this stage and they were answered quickly as well, either the day or 2 days after my emails. How far are you in the construction process when you requested the changes? Perhaps they were just really busy during those times when you submitted your changes and it's not reflective of your entire process. Good luck with the rest of your build. I have a really long hallway which is 1100mm W x 11500mm L I would appreciate if anyone can give suggestions to light it up with Linear LED lights that goes from wall to… 0 8811 Ask for references and speak to them.
