It’s so exciting seeing it come together isn’t it. We’re building buddies, being at the same stage Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 23Feb 22, 2018 9:11 pm Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 25Mar 15, 2018 7:48 pm I have been a bit slow with the posting lately a bit like our brickies or I should say bricky (it’s a one man show!). We have progress but it’s been a little painful seeing it moving along so slowly. So far we are just over two weeks into the brickwork and only about half way I’d say. Let’s hope the other bricklayer is back from leave next week so that things move along a bit quicker. Can’t complain about the workmanship though he’s doing a great job! Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 27Mar 15, 2018 8:16 pm Poor bugger, I hope the SS buys him a case when he is done. Good brickies are very hard to come by at the moment, so they are definely worth being patient for. I think we got lucky only having to wait a week for a good crew. Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 28Mar 16, 2018 6:56 pm So true it’s amazing to think he’s bricked around the whole house on his own so far. We are certainly happy to at least have a bricklayer we have heard that they are like gold these days. Mrbiggens you certainly got lucky having them knock it over in a week! I’d say we’ll be a couple more weeks finishing the bricks. Super impressed with Allworth overall so far the workmanship is excellent and the pace of our build has been way better than expected. Getting very excited to think we will be moving in few months from now! Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 29Apr 05, 2018 8:51 pm After a full month of bricking we’ve finally got a fully bricked up home! Brickwork was completed on Tuesday, electrical was roughed in yesterday and eaves were being installed today. So glad to see things moving towards lock up and looking forward to seeing some gyprock. We ended up with our second preference which was Austral Urban One Pepper. Was so worried at first as we hadn’t expected to change bricks but think I like them better than our first choice now so all good. Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 32Apr 18, 2018 1:13 pm Have been a bit slack with the updates lately but we’ve had lots of great progress. Our whole house was gyprocked over the weekend there were trades there on Saturday and Sunday which we thought was amazing. A quick check late on Sunday and they had finished all cornices except for the garage looked like they ran out of cornice. We have been told we should be locking up on Friday so super excited to be heading into the finishes stage can’t wait to see it all come together. Here’s a few pics I’ve been taking along the way. Waterproofing was done and architrave, skirting and internal doors were all delivered ready for this week! A couple of hiccups through the week with a wrong door height and cavity slider width to our WIR being installed too narrow but both are issues are being sorted so pleased with the outcome. That has to be one of the best stages of the build Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 38Apr 25, 2018 7:19 pm Looking great Homestead, not long to go now 👍👍 Re: Our Langford Countryside - Allworth homes 39May 07, 2018 8:19 pm A quick update. Tiling was started last week and should be complete by the end of this week. All the skirting and architraves are now complete. They ended up tacking the skirting on as requested so we were very pleased to see that. Kitchen bench tops installed and the garage door is on now too!
