Oh cool great to see they are making a start on your roof
.

How is the pendant looking going?? Have you been to the lighting shop at redbank plains? JD lighting they are really good. I am the same with making choices I know I need to do it so I just focus on it and get it done. Sometimes I’ll make room ideas with colours and furniture, just a Pinterest thing so I can see if it works. I’ve got some great fails
.

Hope your get your hat on tomorrow

I second JD lighting, my pendants came from there down to me in sydney

Did you ask to adjust the windows once the frame was already up? I feel like the kids bedroom windows are too close together but I thought it would be too late to change
.

Have you looked at this website https://www.discountlighting.com.au/int ... handeliers they seemed to have ones similar to the one you’ve posted above if I recall.

Yep, sure did. Not the position mind, just the height, so just moving them up if you know what I mean.

Thanks for this. I have been on every Aussie website let me tell you! But hard to keep track so I'll check again.

Hey Dani,

I thought of you when I saw this house listed for sale. It’s in the Estate over from our first build on the coast (I used to drool driving past 🤭) it has a stunning American/hamptons style. It was also on grand designs Australia.

Sorry to bomb your thread SN

Wow that house is crazy Tribe!! Looks like it could be one of those houses on that Revenge tv show. Needless to say ours won’t be anything like that and on a much smaller scale. Great for inspo though! Had a laugh when I saw the tv in the laundry. If you need one of those, you’re probably spending way too much time in there lol

Front facade options

I bought these on a very good sale at IKEA months and months ago for the kitchen. Now I’m not sure if they’re going to go

Dining room options

Girls room options

Boys room - already decided on by Mr12

Master Bedroom bedside pendant options

Ensuite options, or maybe I’ll use a couple of whatever use for the bedside pendants in the ensuite as well.

The whole house is a very clean coastal feel but our room is a bit darker and moody.

Sparrowsnest

What website are the facades options from?

I like one of the rectangular one.

I will check out JD lighting, I haven’t heard of them before, thank you.
That house is amazing Tribe. Even if I had a house that size I bet the kids would still be always hanging out in the same room as me lol.

It’s been raining and will apparently be raining for the rest of the week so likely no roof for us this week

I haven’t finished choosing my pendants but I’ve been off to Reece today to try and choose my towel rails and toilet roll holders. For something so seemingly inconsequential it’s hard to decide. Dear husband thinks heated towel rails in Queensland is ludicrous but I’m undecided. I think a nice warm towel on a cold winter morning would be amazing but I don’t know if I want to pay so much for the privilege.

There’s a few boutiques lighting stores in Fitzroy that is pretty good and reasonable in price too.

How much is the cost to upgrade to a heated towel rail? I'm with you, I love a warm towel after a shower in winter

It’s $30 per rail difference between the heated and non heated version of this one, plus whatever the electrician would charge.

But if I wasn’t getting heated I think I would just get the hooks instead of a rail which would be about $1000 cheaper.

Hi Sparrow!

following along your build now, I am starting the process off with G&P to see if we are a match
I felt the same way when I started looking at pendants! I want so so many but I know practically I'll probably just end up with the ones over the kitchen bench (I've always said they would be my little "splurge" item) have you decided yet which ones you're going to go with?

I'm with you guys I would love a heated towel rail in winter, but I assumed it would be $$ with the electrician.

I’m so happy for you Nublette! I’m glad you got straight back on the horse so to speak. I have some ikea ones for the kitchen that I bought before I completely changed my kitchen style
. I just pulled them out last night to have a look at them again and I think they will still go.

I have three of them for over the island. I’m 85% sure I’ll use them 🤣.
My kitchen is alpine white stone benches and polar white sheen cabinetry. Here are some Pinterest inspiration pictures I have.

Thank you! I hope so! I really struggle to see things in my head so I really hope it all comes together.
Half a roof this morning.

And then wrapped this afternoon.

We chose our dining pendant

And pendants for the girls rooms on the weekend

I think this week we have booked in the roof to be finished and the carpenters to return and fit the Windows, Front door, cavity sliders frames and frame up the main bath.
Then the plumber, electrician and data rough ins are booked for next week.
That’s great SN. Won’t be long now before you’re at lock up

Lovely pendants too there by the way! Good to get that stuff out of the way early rather than stress about it later (like me
)

We still only nearly have a roof, as of this morning anyway. Hopefully they will have finished it today.

We have a front door!

Ticking along nicely.
I also bought my exterior lights today. Renman, they are just as nice in real life.
They should definitely finish your roof today. Love your outdoor lights!
