Well that makes sense then! Re: Our First Dream Home Week 11 Kitchen & Carpenter Fix out 211Apr 08, 2018 8:09 pm Great to see all your progress SN, I’m really looking forward to seeing the step in your shower tiled . Ohhh holy cow bring on kitchen week, you must be busting to see this one Re: Our First Dream Home Week 11 Kitchen & Carpenter Fix out 213Apr 09, 2018 11:10 am Tribe7 How did you go with the retriever pups SN? My ensuite and my cabinetry are probably my favourite parts so I’m excited to see my seat come to life as well. We’ve paid extra to have our shower screen black frames as well so I’m excited to see that. Our tiles are floor wall all the same so I hope that it looks lux enough. The 6 month old pup was sold pending payment but the other breeder you posted has another littler planned that will be ready for a new home in July/August which should be perfect. Thank you so much for looking into it for me and your suggestions. My daughter is going to be so excited. Re: Our First Dream Home Week 11 Kitchen & Carpenter Fix out 215Apr 10, 2018 7:53 am Our hstp unexpectedly went in yesterday. Another positive trade experience. The guy called my husband the day before to see if we had any requests or concerns and my husband went out there and met him onsite in the morning. He was so lovely and full of information on servicing it and taking care of it. Here’s some pictures of our ‘poo tank’ for anyone else that finds that super exciting 🤣 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our fill side is our drive through access side and needs widening and retaining. The hstp guy spoke to my husband about what we were doing there as he needed to widen it to get his truck through and then would usually replace the dirt. He has widened it and neatened it up perfectly which is such a help and cost saver for us. And nice driveway scrape! Do you know what kind of material you will use for the retaining wall along that driveway? Your builders and subbies are all scoring many many brownie points in your build! It’s exciting when the parts your dying to see start. The black shower screen frames are cool, Yeap full height tiling is super lux and will make your seat pop. Pleasure about the pups, excellent news she has a litter planned, they are beautiful puppies your daughter will love them. I can’t wait for mine to have a litter, it’s already chaotic here so what’s a few more pups in the mix ? Garage door looks awesome ✔️ Wow what a great job taylex did, they are installing our septic and water tanks. I hope I get the same dude as you . I hope you did a happy dance on your poop tank it’s a huge step forward Re: Our First Dream Home Week 11 Kitchen & Carpenter Fix out 218Apr 13, 2018 8:50 pm Thank you rural. We are going to do a wood look concrete sleeper retaining wall on each side. We have had a couple of not so good days the last couple of days. The site supervisor called the hstp guy and told him to put the batter back for safety. Which is understandable but it would have been nice to get a call before they did it to make sure I wasn’t planning to do the retaining wall this weekend or anything. All it’s really done is mess it up for us doing the retaining wall and doesn’t seem any safer at all. Then we got a call to come out to site because there is a problem with the window in our butlers pantry. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You can see where the bulkhead is is where our oven tower goes out to which is actually covering the window. The site supervisor said that it couldn’t be moved but after speaking with the builder they are going to take down the cladding and plaster and move the window over. It sounds like it will be allot of work and will take them two days but it will be 7-10 days before there’s carpenters available to do it. They won’t be able to centre the window in the room though they can just move it clear of the cabinetry. I’ve also now noticed that our window in the laundry isn’t centred. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I can see how it’s happened. Our plan is custom and we have paid privately with the cabinet maker for the cabinetry, so it wasn’t on the plan. But it was told to them what we were having and there was a note on the plan of a ‘future wall oven’ in that position. Ovens are 600 and the window is 580 from the wall before the architrave is on. I sometimes get a bit bogged down in who’s ‘fault’ something is because I hate to be wrong. So I’m trying not to do that and just move on with what can be done. I do think the difference between a good and not so great builder is not that no mistakes get made but how mistakes are dealt with and rectified. Here are some pictures of the cabinetry that could be installed to end on a positive Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The black one is our ensuite vanity and the natural oak is for the kids bathroom. Hopefully it doesn't slow progress down for you too much in the meantime. Otherwise your cabinetry is looking awesome!! Love all your colour choices. What an absolute pain the builder made your hstp guy put the batter back!! Definitely some communication there wouldn't have gone astray. There is a house across from us that faces another street frontage but is actually classed as number 1 of our street and they just handed over yesterday. So we think that they have picked up our loo instead of theirs 🤣 Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13466 1 7893 A quick update, we didn't have site start before Easter.
