I don't know if it will help you but I've just discovered this website called homestyler.com that lets you build your house plan in it, and then choose catalogue items like furniture and stuff to put in it, and then render the whole thing in 3D.
I'm just going through the quoting process with G&P at the moment and putting the plan into this has really helped me see what the rooms will look like with generic furniture. I agree it's hard sometimes to see how the room will look when finished solely on imagination!
Thank you.
I think I might have tried Homestyler very early on when doing our plans. I will have another look at it, thank you.
How are you finding G&P so far? I really can’t fault their workmanship. Things have really been ticking over nicely. All of the trades have been so friendly and helpful and from my limited experience it looks like they’re doing a great job. Hopefully the admin phase happens quickly for you.

Was having a play today, I did up this room (Bed 5 on your plans) this is the exact size of the room, with some generic furniture added. I dunno about the size of the windows though so I guessed. Hope that helps.
Yeah G&P have been pretty good so far, I can definitely see why you recommend them. I have no doubts that the quality of what they do is pretty great, but they are pretty expensive so we just have to work out if we can afford them, as we are going to have to compromise on a lot of the inclusions if we go with them. I'm sure they'd build us a very solid house though which is comforting. Seems like the admin phase should be fairly smooth sailing if we go ahead with them, Mike has given me every confidence.
