Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 27, 2008 8:32 am They have Clendonvale, Esprit and now Verve.
Someone mentioned that Verve is the budget line and the prices would reflect that but they include so many extras that I cant understand why you would pay more for a Clendonvale home for example. We were looking at getting a Verve floorplan priced up as it is almost 20k below the PD base price for a similar sized home. So does anyone know what the difference actually is? I dont want to compromise on quality. Re: What is the difference between the 3 henley home groups 2Aug 28, 2008 8:24 am Hi, when our land is finally titled by the council we will finally be able to start building the Henley Carinya from the Esprit range.
We have made two major floor plan changes and added in heaps of extras. It still worked out cheaper than the equivalent in PD by about $30 - $40k. In my opinion, PD are nice homes, but they are way over priced. There is nothing special about them, except they have a nice website. I visited a number of display homes and whilst they are presented well, the majority of the upgrades in their homes is what makes them look good. The basic home that you will end up with is nothing like what you will see at a display. With the difference between the Henley range, check the inclusions. You get a lot of things included in the Clendonvale that aren't part of the Esprit range such as different fittings, bricks above windows instead of infill, choices of kitchen, bathroom vanities, bigger range of taps, door fittings, etc. If you like one of the Verve or Esprit houses, go for it. They are built the same way, don't think you are getting cheaper quality because you dont pay as much. My mate is a supervisor at Henley, and the reason these houses are cheaper is because they want to sell more. I am not sure about the Verve range inclusions and floor plans as I have only come across them on the web, but with the Esprit we had about 15 different options of floor plan to choose from for the one house. We could also choose between different laundry and kitchen options. When pricing up the PD comparison (Bardot 29) we had no options do alter the floor plan, which was one of the reasons we are building with Henley. Hope that this helps? Cheers Re: What is the difference between the 3 henley home groups 3Aug 28, 2008 8:50 am mattydals In my opinion, PD are nice homes, but they are way over priced. I don't think that that applies to all PD houses. We are building almost 42sq's with PD with a base price of $245,900, the equivalent with H*nley was the Wilshire which had a base price of $289,200 - $44,000 more.
