Hi Akashsethi, We almost bought in Altitude but decided on Kinross. Ausbuild have another large estate going in on Kinross Road on the Eastern side. Good luck with the new project! I trust your pool is now complete? Post some pics as we would love to see how it came up. Bet you can't wait for summer to come around again to start using the outdoor area. I better not show the wife your planters against the fence or I know what she will want at our place. Bring on summer now! Bricks were started last Thursday (21 June) and were completed Tuesday (26 June). The guys did a great job. This gang were engaged by the new site supervisor who believes they are one of the best around. We are really lucky with the new SS. He was hired by Ausbuild after the previous one (who was with the company 10 years) left after 7 weeks with our build. The new guy previously owned his own company and did custom builds. He has a high standard and is not afraid of insisting the trades perform to his standards. Monday and Tuesday (25 & 26 June) the plasterboard was installed and they came back today to apply the first layer of plaster to joins etc. The scaffold installers did their magic and installed the scaffold ready for the upper level cladding and soffits. The staircase was also replaced last week. The initial one was not what we thought we were getting. We wanted a fully stained staircase not a painted riser style. Ausbuild shared the cost with us for the replacement. The new one is perfect! The house is starting to take shape nicely. Can’t wait for the external cladding to be finished. This coming week downpipes and then painting - hopefully then scaffold will come down so e can get a proper view of the outside complete. Internal doors have also been installed and the vanity water proofing has been done. We believe the kitchen and vanities are not far away. Few hicups along the way but that is to be expected with a project builder. Site supervisor is terrific and has made a huge difference. Although we are on the 2nd SS and 3rd Customer Services Officer. I blame the wife for being too demanding! Unfortunately there is no comms page on Facebook or this site specific for Ausbuild. Although on this site there are a few threads from builds that have now completed and I think there are three currently underway including this one. All the best with your builds. Exciting and stressful at the same time! Sort of like Christmas lunch at the in-laws Cheers, Paul Re: Ausbuild Finlay 36 @ Thornlands - Lock up! 36Aug 07, 2018 6:29 am Garage door is on and tiling commenced this week. Thanks mj-mac4...of course it was an upgrade! Everything that is nice is an upgrade. During our admin stage we learnt that you need big pockets and little surprises keep happening just when you thought it was all covered I have been silently following your build and glad to see the niche grout is being fixed. White will much better. Our build started around the same time as yours but we are still around 13 weeks away from hand over - maybe more if the tiler doesn't get a start. Was supposed to be Monday but still has not commenced Good luck with your remaining time and why oh why would you think of doing it a second time so soon! We have sworn this is our last.
