The actual build seems ok but it has been a complete nightmare from an administration point of view. They really need to provide training for their contract administrators. Mine was totally incompetent. She spent her time either ignoring my requests or sending through variations that didn’t make it through to the sub contractors. It was a total mess. My handover was delayed because she forgot to do the final invoice. An absolute disastrous day when it should have been a cause for celebration. Also beware of any extras. Langdon take price gouging to a whole new level in this area. I lost all patience when they tried to charge me $500 for installing a light that’s in their inclusions. Again, lack of training for staff. Also, when I tried to escalate the matter, the manager was defensive and argumentative rather then acknowledging that there had been a massive stuff up. He just talked over me rather than acknowledging that I had a genuine and real concern that I had removalists coming to the house and Langdon had not submitted all paperwork to enable handover to go ahead. I was given access to the garage. Very disappointing. Oh, and it seems that there building surveyor may not have practiced due diligence with regards to tree roots. I have to get an arborist in at my own expense. Stay tuned for the outcome as aI will have no hesitation in instigating legal action if they have built without the necessary checks and balances Re: Building a home with Langdon Builders Ballarat (Horsham) 184Apr 16, 2020 10:45 am I made the mistake of building with Langdon. They seem to be on the ball, I email them they call to email back, our admin staff are always straight to the point and prepared, I ask a question they provide an answer. Sounds like something has broken down in your process, rather than getting upset and ranting spend this time working out the issue and correcting it (posting here will not help your cause) Re: Building a home with Langdon Builders Ballarat (Horsham) 186May 13, 2020 3:30 pm brianbuilds My two cents: Honestly, our Admin experience with Langdon Build has been amazing! I think it is luck of the draw but the one I got after was hopeless. But it doesn’t end there. I am now four weeks in with handover and I still don’t have a working bathroom. My front doors didn’t fit properly and one needed a major reconstruction. They hadn’t finished tiling in the kitchen, paint spills on the floor, No washing line, incorrect staining of the feature piece. They have been appalling. There is zero quality control. I have had a constant stream of tradies traipsing through my house and they are all pretty scathing about Langdon also. One guy is in dispute cos they allegedly haven’t been paid. I wish you luck in the rest of your journey. Re: Building a home with Langdon Builders Ballarat (Horsham) 187May 13, 2020 3:32 pm And I have posted here to warn others of the complete and incompetent work of Langdon. I am actually reporting them to the Master Builders Association. It is THAT bad Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13587 1 7935 Look at your bill from the electricity company.
