Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 06, 2017 10:13 am Hi all, So, my husband and I are nearing the end of Admin stage with Wisdom. We are building the Aspiration 29. We have been told that we will be given our draft end panel and construction plans by next week. Does anyone think we will have the slab on before Christmas? Also, assuming everything should go to plan.. (hopefully!) and taking Christmas/new year shut down period, my husband thinks it will be April/May 2018 that we will be finished - does anyone else think otherwise? Its been a LONG time coming and we have had so many issues within the admin stage that all we want to do is just be on site and starting the build already! Seems like it is just taking forever. Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 2Oct 06, 2017 2:07 pm Hi, there is 21 working days usually between draft end panel and your final end panel, if you don't need to make any changes. Once your end panel is signed off on, your file will go to production estimating, expect your slab around a month after end panel. So yes you may just make Xmas. Our slab went down 3 weeks ago and we are expecting May PCI, with a 30 week contract. You need to allow 3 weeks for Xmas shut down on top of your contract time, which is from slab to PCI, then handover is usually about 2 weeks after PCI all going smoothly. You may also get weather delays. If you have a 30 week contract time then you'd be looking more like July completion? There is a general wisdom thread on here, and another person building the aspiration who is at a similar stage to you. Come and say hi Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 4Oct 06, 2017 9:23 pm hi guys what is the time frame for preconstruction with wisdom from deposit to cutting of the land? Overture Premier 27/1 - CDC approval 09/3 - Peg out 14/4 - Slabbed 08/5 - Framed 18/5 - Roof complete 12/6 - Bricks complete 26/6 - Gyprock complete 29/6 - Lock up 22/9 - PCI Re: Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 5Oct 06, 2017 10:48 pm ggml hi guys what is the time frame for preconstruction with wisdom from deposit to cutting of the land? I'd say 9-12 months. We were in admin for just over 10 months. Ours was a CDC, so a bit faster than submitting a DA. Hopefully the construction time makes up for it. As long as they pour the slab before XMAS I'll be happy. Come and say hi We have started our blog https://meralijay.blogspot.com/ Re: Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 8Jul 09, 2018 2:55 pm Rocchet Yes i agree with mandm. July/August for a double storey would probably be more realistic based on wisdoms timelines. Hi! Just an update - your estimation was probably correct. Our kitchen just went in and we are yet to see our doors go on or vanities go in but our tiling is scheduled for end of this week so I am hoping that we can make it to PCI by mid - late August. Our contract ends mid August so I am assuming the SS would want to push the build to get it to PCI by then but who knows. Some pics! Going to be hard to juggle work around this time frame also cause its especially busy during August/September. How did you do it? Did you take time off work to move in? We have a little dog so I'm worried about the fact that if we move in straight away he wont have any turf haha. We have 4 kids and had to get the old house ready for open houses etc too so we were busy enough with that and packing. We have been in our house for nearly 3 months and still don’t have turf lol. But we have a shed to build and pool to finish off so the turf is waiting on that. We had the keys for a couple of weeks before we moved in, which gave us time to install our downlights, paint the garage floor, install appliances, fit out wardrobes, put furniture together etc. we were hoping to have the driveway down in that time but that didn’t happen. Luckily we didn’t have much rain(mud) in that time. I’d try and get your concreting and turf down before you move in or the mud will drive you crazy with the puppy.
