Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 01, 2017 2:12 pm Hi I am building a GJGardner Stillwater and the plumbing has just gone in. I am worried my plumbing looks a bit sloppy. All the other homes I have looked at at the same stage of the build as us. Have their building run along the top of the roof. But ours runs near the ground, under windows all the way down one side of the house. Should we be concerned? They would have to be very low shelves. It is good to see that the builder has properly graded the site slope away from the slab and also installed temporary downpipes. 3in1 Supadiverta. Re: Should my plumbing look like this? 8Oct 02, 2017 7:34 am The pipes are in the cavity therefore on outside of the stud wall. It is unlikely that any fixing of shelving will go right through stud and puncture a pipe. Yes piping could have been a bit neater but at least it is clipped to studs. To me, yours look neat. The outdoor thing is new to me as I'd generally seen them in the roof and hollow internal walls. Your more likely to hit the pipe if drilling completely through the bricks from the outside and manage to punch through the hole brick. The pipes are low but if you're ever wall mounting a clothes line or hose reel just be mindful of their location and the drilling depth. No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed.
