Bel I agree the Dune looks lovely with the white and the bricks but I was worried it was a bit to grey for my beachy looks, but it's definitely still a contender for when I make my final colour choice. Michelle has given me a few colours too so my next step will be to paint up boards and take them to the bricks to see what I like best. I love the paperbark on screen but haven't seen it in person and some people have said it's a bit yellow. So... I have two finalists. I realise nobody picked the second one but I need to have a cheaper option that I like on hand as I'm worried that we simply won't be able to afford the eight awning windows that the one with the horizontal windows requires. I think if I use any awnings on teh front then they all have to be awnings. With the second option I could use non opening windows for the three vertical ones and all the rest are standard so the cost would be minimal. I actually really don't mind either, but agree that the first one is much more strikging. Please help me! 44Aug 27, 2008 1:28 pm What about putting the 2 awnings on the right and the big window above the garage just to break them up a bit if you are going to go this option?
Keep in mind you will have to check with your 5 star rating re having fixed windows. Rachelle if it comes down to cost the second one still looks really good. Re: Facade Frustrations! Please help me! 45Aug 27, 2008 1:32 pm Rachelle, i think you have done well! They both look gorgeous!!!
I really do like both of them...you can also maybe consider the windows where it is one window but split into 3 panes perhaps?? We have this window on our master bedroom with the 3 panes but the 2 outer ones are the awning openers??? Maybe that might be an option to give you the look of 3 windows but may be cheaper...not sure? Just an option to ask i suppose IF the first facade is too pricey? Re: Facade Frustrations! Paperbark is one of those chameleon colours that can have yellow or pink tones depending on the context. Possibly the best window and door colour. I find myself completely agreeing with Jo waaayy too much this week! Re: Facade Frustrations!
