Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ceiling Height - 2750mm 17Oct 02, 2017 5:01 pm cabaju Hi All, First time writing a post. My partner and I are building a new house near Penrith and I just wanted to get some feedback regarding ceiling height. We have a small lot of 310 m2 and a 10 m frontage. So far, we are building a two story house and we believe that increasing the ceiling height will be extremely convenient so the house doesn't look too small. As per the plans we have 105.87 in the ground living area and we requested our builder to provide a quote to increase the ceiling height. Our builder has quoted us AUD 8,800 to increase the ceiling height in the ground floor only. Is this normal? Is it usually this expensive? I hope to get some good feedback so I can make up my mind. Thanks in advance!! What is the normal height that he is giving - if it is 2400 - then to increase to 2700 it might cost that much cos normally from 3590 to 2700 it cost around $3400 to $3800 at most builders follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7757 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
