Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 15, 2017 9:55 pm Hi We've got a Corinthian PIVOT INFWS 8G door installed at our new house which was finished last year. Link to the product: https://www.corinthian.com.au/Products/ ... t-INFWS-8G Just had a question about the weather seals for these doors and was hoping someone else with the same or similar door could help. Right before handover, we noticed that there were no seals or brushes along the top door jamb, which left a gap of around 7mm when the door was closed. We told the builder who subsequently installed some generic brushes (bought from Bunnings). However, these don't seem appropriate as they do not sit properly when the door is closed (one of the brushes protrudes outward over the top edge of the door when it's closed). Also, the door is very difficult to open because the brushes cause excessive friction along the top of the door. I was wondering if there are specific seals that come with these doors? There are seals along the bottom and side jambs of the door that work perfectly. Not sure if these came with the door from Corinthian, or if they were installed on site. I should probably just contact Corinthian (which I plan on doing on Monday) but was hoping anonymous random people of the internet could help me out for now. Please see photos. Thanks! I’ve sanded back and oiled the frames with sikkens. My plan is to box up inside… 0 6510 Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6349 |
