Get a copy of the Codes Doozer1905 I think most battlers are tired of getting varying quotes without being told why, mate, if you want to pick up work put up some useful information that also helps others . then if people trust you they'll send you plans ...just a thought (OT I doubt if builders have a copy of the relevant codes as most builder guess on the higher cost side and then wait for the Engineering to come in), needamoneytree Pity you werent told that before you decided to build with conventional building Methods & Materials..get a copy of the codes OT Builders don't like reducing the overall build costs it reduces their profits and then theres the location, quality, wealth, middle tier, you can pay more, taxes...call it what you want, Salesman commission..you don't see them all, but they are there We knew before hand all the builders we spoke to where very upfront with costs we chose the house we wanted.
