Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 41Oct 17, 2017 12:04 pm We got everything done on our electrical through Clipsal so everything is under warranty and all matching in terms of powerpoints and switches ect as we have modern style switches in our package rather than standard. We also figured the price wasn't too much difference, the sparkys are super friendly though and asked if we require anything else. We are supplying our own pendant lights with installation through clipsal also. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 42Oct 17, 2017 1:25 pm You are speeding along, you have now caught up to me. If the rain would bugger off I would have bricks Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 43Oct 17, 2017 1:33 pm Watching your build and amazed at the progress! Just a quick question, do you have an independent inspector checking over any of your build stages? Just a quick question, do you have an independent inspector checking over any of your build stages? Hi Brodav83, thanks we are too. We don't have an independant inspector. my husband works in the construction industry and we have a few friends and neighbours with various trade skills that have checked over things for us. We have just done a lot of research into each stage and what to look for and managed the build that way. Everything is so accessible on the internet that we are leaving the complex details to the engineers to check through Coral and we will manage the structural and cosmetic details. if you have any questions anytime just shoot us a message and pics and I will get my hubby to look at it for you. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 46Oct 19, 2017 9:31 am Great progress thanks to our site supervisor - We now have doors and windows, and we dropped off our insulation today to be installed as the plasterboard goes up. We will have more pictures later on this week, excited to see it this weekend! Fingers crossed for some sunny days, we feel your pain. Some of our neighbours with timber frmes have no roofs and have been stuck with downpour soaking into their frames, hard times. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 50Oct 20, 2017 9:49 am Some more pictures of our wall insulation and plastering, great that our plasterers were able to install for us and send through images. Glad to see we can modify things without too much expenses, still waiting on our refund from the insulation team though as they did not install or supply in the end. Feeling broke this week... Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 57Oct 30, 2017 8:22 pm I would never think to pick a combination like that but they actually look fantastic :O Re: Coral Homes Noosa 20 Build 58Oct 30, 2017 8:46 pm Caydenn I would never think to pick a combination like that but they actually look fantastic :O Thank you yes it was a risk and came together so well, will look better when they are cleaned and dried too 😊 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4357 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17628 |
