Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 2Jan 04, 2016 9:29 am LOL i went pass in early December and can't say much has even started, sorry! You're probably looking at second half of 2016 if you're lucky! It's pretty annoying that in June/July they were advertising civil works to be completed by Dec 15 - which is like 6 months away.... Since then it looks like approximately 10% of civil works has even started. Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Apparently, it is due to some drainage issue which dates back to the East Link creation. (Don't quote me on this as it is second hand information). I suggest you contact KR Peters for clarification. Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 7Jan 20, 2016 6:13 pm Thanks. We got a letter in december but KR said it was delayed to aug/sept wonder why there are inconsistencies. shivamkhanna Hi, yes we have purchased as well and back in Oct'15 we received letter advising that settlement is delayed until Sep/Oct 2016. Only thing I worried is after 18 months, the developer can cancel the contract and re put on market for sale and we waste time and lost deposit for other purchase as opportunity cost Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 10Jan 25, 2016 9:56 am lwdon1 Luinel Thanks. We were in a similar situation and had purchased land off the plan. The developer in our case took almost 2 years to complete subdivision and get titles. Only advice i can offer is to maybe get onto the developers and start the dialogue with them to see what the hold up is and where things are at. The only other piece of advice is to not look at signing up or even putting a deposit down with a builder until you can see roads down etc.... Good luck. Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 14Feb 02, 2016 10:19 am I just spoke to the Knox city council. They are still waiting on the developers to submit final drawings. I was advised that no work can start till this is finalised. I've now rang the planners/surveyors directly and have asked for an update and expected submiting date to the council. Waiting for them to call me back. ? Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 15Feb 03, 2016 8:53 pm We receive a letter from kr peters saying that construction will start next week! Lets see if we see any activity. We wish to advise that the Developers have reached an agreement with the relevant authorities. Bayport have been appointed as the contractors and are due to start on site Monday 8th of Feb 2016. The contractor believes that estate construction works will take approximately six months, therefore we anticipate practical completion and issue of Statement of Compliance in Q3 2016. Settlements are anticipated to occur by year’s end. We will forward the final engineering plans as soon as they are available to enable you to finalise building costs. If we settle in Dec, I hope they won t cancel contract or increase price as contract expire in 18 months Re: Is there anyone who bought land in Wantirna Rise? 18Feb 11, 2016 4:19 pm Yeahh same here.. We wont sign anything with the builders until May 2016. By the way, is anyone familiar working with setbacks? I am confused how to follow these setbacks. In harcrest it is clearly stated that the setback starts from the lot boundary. But the planning permit that came with our contracts stipulates 6m from garage to street for the front setback. But pd is siting our lot from boundary which doesnt give us much of a backyard. lwdon1 Luinel We receive a letter from kr peters saying that construction will start next week! Most estates specified minimum 4m from the front and garage 5.5m from front and usually 2-3m at the rear depending if you're building single or double Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait!
