Yay! exciting! can't wait to hear about your selections Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 23Aug 31, 2017 8:20 pm Awesome! Have you spent time going round to beaumonts ect to find the stuff you want? They don't have a lot of upgrade options there for you to look st so if you want upgrsdedtiles or sinks etc you may want to start looking now and go in with product codes and names Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 24Aug 31, 2017 8:46 pm bananarama Awesome! They don't have a lot of upgrade options there for you to look st so if you want upgrsdedtiles or sinks etc you may want to start looking now and go in with product codes and names Thanks for that We have been to beaumont more times then I can count lol. We unfortunately decided to go standard tiles as we are going floor to ceiling in bathroom and ensuite. That makes it really hard, do they have different toilets, and is the carpet there? I can't find what their supplier is.. Yeah there are a few choices for toilets, otherwise im sure you could choose one from beaumonts. We went standard with the carpet, but upgraded the underlay. We figure we would just replace the carpet in 5 years anyway. Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 26Aug 31, 2017 10:26 pm Basically, you can ask for anything at beaumonts, or through the main suppliers direct. Ie we choose suttor rainfall shower heads from Beaumont, and different caroma basins. There was only 2 toilet and 4 sink options in the colours room I think so I'm really glad we made out choices beforehand. You can apparently make a booking to visit the carpet supplier show room, but we didn't bother. Just picked the normal and got thicker underlay too Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 27Sep 02, 2017 8:57 pm bananarama Basically, you can ask for anything at beaumonts, or through the main suppliers direct. Will jump on the beaumont site tonight and have a look at a few sinks, and definitely our shower head. Did you happen to see the vinyl planks there? Would love to know what we can choose from.. hard to plan colours, without knowing what the flooring may be like. Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Estate viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89162 Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Estate 28Sep 13, 2017 8:45 pm COLOUR SELECTIONS! So.. we chose everything in an hour and a half.. bit scary lol! Our facade colours took the longest, and we are still not 100% sure on them.. so any advice is encouraged We also found the lighting in the room terrible.. not sure if anyone else had that problem when taking their photos. We upgraded a couple of things: - Wall faced toilets - Kitchen splash back - Stained timber battens on facade - Handless upper cabinets We also removed our blinds from the laundry (don't think we need these, will just be in the way) and cornerless stackers as we plan on getting sheers to here, which gave us a nice credit back, and basically paid for our splashback! The black penny tile is so nice too! i kinda regret not getting different tiles for the niches now. Yeah the facade colours took us the longest as well. Did you end up going floor to ceiling with the tiles? Did you end up going floor to ceiling with the tiles? Me too, it's probably going to be my favourite thing in the house for a while! Lol It was so nice to see everything we had on paper, and in our heads come together, I'm so happy with it all.. except the gutter and fascia.. not sure if we should match it to our roof colour. Yep we went the full height tiling, I'm hoping the contrast in wall tiles makes this pay off! Yep we went the full height tiling, I'm hoping the contrast in wall tiles makes this pay off! there's a few people on this forum that have mixed their roof/gutter/fascia colours and it honestly looks good. I think the selections will compliment each other. You'll have a couple of days to think about it right? take a look online and see if you can see any examples. Did you have Candice for colour selection? She does have a good eye for colour and no doubt helps make sure nothing clashes. Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 32Sep 13, 2017 9:40 pm Wooo nice selections! As far as fascia colours, we went with different (basalt roof with monument gutter and fascia), but that was because it blended better with our bricks which are darker than the roof. You have light roof and light bricks, so the fascia and guttering is going to really stand out! You could go with a medium colour (shale gray?) to still get a bit of contrast without completely standing out (if too much standing out is what's concerning you) Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 33Sep 13, 2017 10:24 pm your selections are stunning!!! I can't fault a thing, love it all!! Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 34Sep 15, 2017 7:03 am So at last minute we freaked out and decided to change things lol We changed or garage door to surfmist, changed the gutters to surfmist but left our fascia as woodland grey, this way we don't think it will stand it as much but will still tie in and compliment the woodland grey windows (we're hoping) Also changed our ensuite niche tile, removed the matt black penny tiles and replaced with these penny tiles. I feel a lot more confident about everything now, now to play the waiting game for 5-6 months Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 35Sep 15, 2017 7:50 am [quote="breebarter"]So at last minute we freaked out and decided to change things lol We changed or garage door to surfmist, changed the gutters to surfmist but left our fascia as woodland grey, this way we don't think it will stand it as much but will still tie in and compliment the woodland grey windows (we're hoping) Also changed our ensuite niche tile, removed the matt black penny tiles and replaced with these penny tiles. We have a while to go before land settlement/registration. It's meant to settle in December, but considering Christmas closures I think it's looking more like end of January/early Feb. Although, Frasers are moving quite quickly, they have already finished moving fill in our stage and cut out the dirt for the road.. maybe we will settle early if we're lucky (not getting our hopes up though!) haha Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 37Sep 15, 2017 6:00 pm [quote="breebarter"]So at last minute we freaked out and decided to change things lol We changed or garage door to surfmist, changed the gutters to surfmist but left our fascia as woodland grey, this way we don't think it will stand it as much but will still tie in and compliment the woodland grey windows (we're hoping) Also changed our ensuite niche tile, removed the matt black penny tiles and replaced with these penny tiles.
