I'll be having a 1 year Maintenance Inspection soon. Right now there are a lot of hairline cracks on the grout , garage floor, edges on window and door frames and skirting. Some are actually quite bad. I'm just wondering whether the builder would fix it or treat this as normal due to a new building. If you could share your experience that would be helpful.. Cheers.. My english is shocking...... If the crack is the same thickness as a credit card it is deemed to be a builder issue. They have a special tool that they use to decide. Thats been my experience anyway. You should have a form that they would have left with you to write down anything of concern, make sure you include anything you think might just need servicing like garage doors,ovens, air con etc, they should all be free within the warranty period. Most of these are within a year though.
