Yesterday the sewerage tank and pipes to outside were put in and today the bricks were delivered. Sadly though, still no frame! 😔 im hoping maybe tomorow! 😁 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 84Aug 31, 2017 4:48 pm Our frame was put up this week, it took them from monday 28th to wednesday 30th. So exciting to finally see our house taking shape! 😊 The doors and windows were delivered today aswell! Does anyone know if roof tiles go on before or after wall bricks? And yesterday the roof tiles were delivered and the safety gaurd rail was put up, so everythings ready for the roof to go on! 😊 Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 88Sep 07, 2017 10:43 am Entilzha and less than 5 weeks since your footings where dug. Bricks will be going up as well before you know it hopefully you get your pre christmas completion Yeh its all moving very quick! I hope so too!! Fingers crossed 😊 Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 90Sep 20, 2017 5:24 pm The bricklayers were onsite today doing prep work when I drove past 😊🙌 ill take a photo tomorow arvo when they have some bricks done. One of ours windows got smashed at some point i noticed yesterday. some people really are useless idiots to think that is entertaining 😡 such a waste of money! Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 91Sep 21, 2017 12:42 am Yay and in less than 2 months Wow! We had our site scrape 13/9 , trenches 15-9-18/9 and on today we had sewage/plumbing in trenches (ok to start was 11/9) waiting for rio, plastic and slab. Then will probably get dates Have asked but nothing can be given do far 😱 Did they give you dates for completion?/ any invoices or changes with soil removal? (Still waiting too see ours ) Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 92Sep 21, 2017 6:55 am I know, its amazing how fast its moving. Thats great they are getting your house done quickly too! 😊 They never give us any dates for anything, it is so frustrating! They usually just tell us after something has been completed (slab, frame, roof) I wish we were able to deal directly with the site supervisor. We have paid 2 invoices so far, 1 after slab was completed and 1 after the frame/roof trusses. The next one will be after the brick work is done. Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 93Sep 21, 2017 7:47 am Yes we also cant deal with ss directly has to be through hickies Have they been correct with the prices so far or did you get variations? Got an email from Agl saying we will be charged $220 to install electricity meter and then SAPN said $317 fir the in/out meter, have send it to hickies as they only said we pay for the meter not the installation dio our selections lady will see what thats anout (riund $540 for both that we will be invoiced once its done) Do you have completion dates yet? Wonder how long totsl build will take Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 94Sep 21, 2017 8:27 am As far as I know prices are all the same, I didnt even know they could change at this point 😳 I doubt they will ever give us a completion date, I guess we will just have to wait and see. 4-5 months is the average from what I have seen Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 95Sep 21, 2017 8:36 am Think mist is fixed but there is still oc items lije soil etc and a clause if they encounter unforeseen issues like rock when doing footings they can pass costs onn even if its fixed (which is scary) did they keep to their quotes with footings and soil removal? Ours was changed prior to start to a pc of $3800 for soil removal Hoping it was over estimated cause they said to us the removal of scrape soil was not included so hoping it ended up to be included:) in the price costings Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 98Sep 21, 2017 4:58 pm didnt think of that - will ensure i do it as well once my footings are eventually dug just for my own peace of mind that nothing abnormal was encountered as well - though i think they do advise you straight away if something like that happens Re: Statesman, Greenock MKII 100Sep 21, 2017 8:49 pm Sarah159 We received an email from AGL today saying that we would be having a meter installed at some point and the cost is $543. Something I hadnt even considered, so I thought I would just mention it here incase other new builders hadnt budgeted for this expense 😊 So i was prepared cause you mentioned it. Thank you Apparently $220.66 will be instalation charges for the meter box by AGL And $317 would be for the in/out meter box from SAPN that they bill us for including gst $546 ish... When I emailed them and adked i got this reply " In regards to any Utility or SA Power bills you receive, kindly pay the bills only. We will arrange for all the works to be completed. In your contract we have charged you only for underground works. These charges you will receive are at your own expense. " |
