Have been watching the weather and it's got to be a hot week Re: 1st home build Clearview SA with Hickinbotham 29Mar 14, 2018 8:07 pm Conslabulation! So very exciting to see the cement trucks Re: 1st home build Clearview SA with Hickinbotham 30Mar 27, 2018 3:56 pm Bricks have arrived. Got a bit freaked out when i saw the color is only painted on a red brick. Always thought it was meant to be solid color. Got home ready to email hickies then had a closer look at our bricks in current accommodation and saw red colour through the darker painted on colour. Guess this is normal?? Re: 1st home build Clearview SA with Hickinbotham 32Mar 27, 2018 8:16 pm i had the same with my bricks - cobalt. i didnt realise it was only painted onto a red brick till after my bricks where delivered have been told you can buy touch up paint for it from manufacturer. getting used to the red flecks in the brickwork now Re: 1st home build Clearview SA with Hickinbotham 33Mar 28, 2018 8:39 pm Was a bit of a shock at first but it kind of gives it an interesting affect. Our place at the moment is 5 years old and bricks look good, just a slight tinge of red sometimes. Won't see any brick on facade as it will be fully rendered anyway. Re: 1st home build Clearview SA with Hickinbotham 36Apr 03, 2018 7:35 pm Yayyy so this happened today. Starting to look like a real house! So good to walk through the house and get a sense of the rooms. Starting to feel bigger than when it was just a slab. So exciting!
