Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. My partner and I are looking at building a new home (knockdown rebuild) and we have done the rounds with looking at all the project homes. We are in the Canterbury-Bankstown council area. We have gone out to all the display home locations and there are lots of houses that look beautiful! Our problem is that we live in a cul-de-sac and our land is shaped a bit triangular. We also have a sewer pipe in the backyard that we cannot build over.
Has anyone had any luck with finding houses that are narrow in the front (under 11m) but much wider at the back (up to 17m)? Will we have no choice but to pick one and pay the extra to customise? Would it be worth just going in fully custom? We are trying to stay under $450k.
Ideally we are looking for a double story house that is about 15m in length, narrow at the front and wider at the back. Are there any builders that have these off their plans? Are we going to have to bite the bullet and go custom?
I'll post a picture of survey when i get it shortly. Thanks for responses in advance!
TL;DR - Knockdown rebuild, double story, to fit small frontage (11m) long back width (17m), and length under 15m. Want to stay under $450k all up. Any projects home to fit, or will we need to go custom? Located in Sydney's south west. Look around 280-300 sqm.
