Bricks are about 85% done, just waiting on a crane to lift the heavy lintels and T-bars for them to be able to finish off. I designed it so you wouldn't need cut bricks, so something has gone wrong somewhere. I've spoken with the supervisor and he is looking into it now for me. Roof framing has started now. It's all starting to take shape and it has a great feel to it. My only negative so far is that I wish I'd made the master bed a bit bigger :/ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Find my build thread here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=88694&f=31&p=1729530#p1729530 Re: First Timer (Built By Momu @ Calleya) 47Oct 14, 2017 8:31 am That was fast, got to be happy with that! Start collecting those bricks, never know when you might need them! _____________________________________ Building in Bedfordale Perth WA https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89716 Churchman Brook Electrical Services EC 8659 Re: First Timer (Built By Momu @ Calleya) 48Oct 14, 2017 9:16 am Yeah I'd like to build a letterbox and maybe some planter boxes out the front, so need to try and store them somewhere! Might try leaving them out the back and putting a note on them or something Find my build thread here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=88694&f=31&p=1729530#p1729530 Re: First Timer (Built By Momu @ Calleya) 49Oct 19, 2017 11:28 pm Roof frame is almost complete on a less positive note, they are going to rip down my feature brickwork at the front and rebuild it all as it has been done incorrectly Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Find my build thread here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=88694&f=31&p=1729530#p1729530 Re: First Timer (Built By Momu @ Calleya) 50Oct 27, 2017 9:08 am Services have been chased in now still waiting on the bloody bricklayers to fix their mistakes now, which is holding up the chippy finishing the roof, which in turn has delayed my roof sheeting. Very frustrating! I've also employed Cap-It-All to conduct an inspection on the home for some piece of mind. These stuff ups haven't been helpful so I want to ensure there's no more going forward. Renderer managed to f**k up and not take the render down the side of the house far enough. Every trade that has stepped onto our site has made an error now and it's really annoying us now. I had Cap-It-All conduct an inspection on the house and it's actually come in better than I expected. A few items to rectify, but nothing too bad. I would highly recommend these guys as communication has been fantastic and the report they provided is highly detailed and informative. Roof sheeting now pushed back to next week. Really hoping there's minimal delays from here on in. Our builder fixes any issue found straight away. Re: First Timer (Built By Momu @ Calleya) 53Nov 02, 2017 9:55 pm Yeah they have been excellent to deal with, would recommend them to anyone I spoke with the construction manager today and he was with the roof carpenter and all items were being seen too.
