Still waiting on a reply. But from what i have seen there is little or no communication in the construction phase so far. I am not really hapoy with the lack so far with it. Pre construction had excellent communication/followups and was super quick. Now its around a week before any reply and usually we have to initiate contact... Bit worried atm. Surely they can inform us when teadies is supposed to do what on our block? Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 205Sep 26, 2017 10:18 pm hope you hear from them soon and it gets resolved Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 206Sep 26, 2017 11:31 pm hopefully they will get in touch soon and get your slab done promptly I believe the engineer has to do a site inspection before they do the pour so should be across any issues from this - confirm with them that this is the case but have noticed a difference in communication between the two areas myself - even a month after being released to construction my Selections consultant has been prompt at replying to questions i have asked about the way different things should look after the build. Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 207Sep 26, 2017 11:53 pm Yes As part of homestart condition to them an engineer has to be present with slab pour Yes selections/preconstruction/sales consultants is great with communication and always quick and hapoy to reply. Construction has been a bit of a pain and frustrating (will see if it improves) Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 208Sep 27, 2017 9:26 am You need to keep hasseling them. Thats what we do any everything is moving along well. Its a lot of money you are spending on the house so you have every right to know what is going on. Who are you dealing with atm? Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 211Sep 27, 2017 11:32 am Entilzha Hoping it improves once the SS takes over the build when framing done Urgh i hope so! Lol surely they should know what's happening when? They cant be so unprofessional/unorganised.... or maybe trying to hide their lack of organising thing! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 212Sep 28, 2017 2:15 am Still waiting on reply from hickies! Not sure why we have had no progress yet Friends if ours building a suburb away has gotcreinforcement and damp coarse and will be slab in next day or 2. And they have been released for construction only last monday! Hickies plans and priorities is an absolute joke and mess.... they cant say they dont have tradies available cause how did their work get done? They was scraped and trenched on friday so a week for them in total to get slab and all in 10 days since released fir construction. So we are now past 3 weeks from release and in 2 weeks since trenches... ??? So how? maybe can it be our construction consultant being the problem and be the one causing our delays or simply not capable to do her work? Was thinking holdup might have been sapn/agl but friends has not even received notice yet if connection etc. so cant see what the delay is really. Might have waited for steal for ren but how can friends had it there within a week. So my theory stil concludes to our construction consultant being slack with her ordering and booking if trades as its ibvious they are available and material can be delivered in a week... So not happy with them or the progress, and certainly mot with the construction phase communication! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 213Sep 28, 2017 7:57 am have had the same thoughts myself. ill be 5 weeks since released to construction on monday and nothing but a sign and a toilet still (as of 9am yesterday that is). been a few nice days then weather goes bad like today, and need the consecutive nice days for siteworks ah well hopefully you will hear back soon Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 215Sep 29, 2017 4:21 pm Ok so we are supposed to have full triton termite barrier? Can any one tell me how it will look/ where it will be located cause i cant aee it at all. Went oast today and saw finally plumbing/dampseal and reinforcing was done. But there was a but if rain which is now in the trenches and it cant drain away Urgh! Phitos follow bellow (at least the soil is now mire protected from breaking apart) Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 217Sep 29, 2017 5:10 pm yay for progress - nice weather for thenext nearly week, so hope that helps with your slab going down So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
